Laptop advice

Hello everyone, i'm going to get a laptop soon that isn't above $1000 and can play some games as well (CS:GO max settings, COD advanced warfare, l4d2 kinda thing).

I found this laptop and thought it was pretty good but i'm not good with knowing if something is worth it or not. One of my friends says it needs more ghz..but idk? Let me know what you guys think please!

what you want to look for
>strong cpu (i5 ish, but some laptop i5s are dual core so be careful)
>okay gpu (you're not going to get much from a laptop unless its alienware. Just be sure not to get something with integrated graphics or a 500mb)

Who's dumb idea suggested you to play games on a laptop? You'll shorten it's life span twice as fast trying to push "max settings" spend that rack and build a rig, cause that'll give you double the performance and bang for your buck. I don't recall gaming on the go as something casual or even worth doing. Just for the record, those games take the bare minimum to even run and not even needing a dedicated video card. Gaming laptops = worthless bricks, cause for when anything happens good luck solving the issue. For a PC.. whatever that does go wrong, you can fix or swap out at ease. Just my opinion on laptops or people who game on one, it's not the same as keyboard and mouse since laptops are chiclet and fragile keys
lt does need more gHz, processor won't run that fast.
Generally, anything above 2.0 gHz is good enough.

@Xiscis: lt's only > 5 pounds, is that really considered heavy to you?
@SirKibbleX2: lt doesn't specify how much RAM it has; only says it is upgradable to 16.

But l agree with Sirkibble, 8GB is a nice amount to have, and you really only need anything more if you're running memory intensive programs or doing video/animation/music rendering.
Well, according to Home Depot, the thing does weigh as much as abrick, so @Xiscis isn't incorrect in what he's saying. But IMO it is kinda heavy.
