Bannedstory is so useless

There's no search button, no separation for gender, no class separation for items. There appears to be no organization to the items either, not release date (I stand corrected, it's mostly release date with random items in the wrong place), not required level, not alphabetical, not color coded or thematic. NOTHING. Who designed this program and why did they think this was a good idea? >
I had to squint at tiny thumbnails for like 10 minutes to find the correct hairstyle to update my Basil avatar.
EDIT: this simulator below is probably the best one currently available (although imo it's still not good)

Click the "momiji.zip" at the bottom. After extracting the folder, launch the momiji app and find the Nexon: Maplestory folder. Close and relaunch.

@marilanna: Its pretty cool how you made your own version but to be honest I still prefer Bannedstory still.

Well Bannedstory is still free so I don't feel like I can complain...
As far as I know, bannedstory is the only one that creates convenient spritesheets, so it's still my favorite.

Other than the fact that items have been updated and such, most of them dont even work. I cant even find the auto flat hair button because when i try using hat that covers most of the hair, it ends up either behind my hair or somewhere in between (i dont even know how to explain it).
My eyes HURT just by scrolling through the items. Im happy that its up to date, but my god is it a pain in the back to look at the thumbnails.
Half or maybe even all the cash capes and weapons dont work... I was hoping in the new version that most of the cash weapons would work AND at least show the weapons effect if it has one.
I cant find any other sort of maplesimulator since they all have just stopped working. Im happy and very grateful that BannedStory is still here, but they really need to fix some if not a lot things in the new version.

i like the old version. i never used other sites for splashing together avatars. bannedstory is good enough for me
I liked it over nothing, but yeah it could be a lot better
'it was nice in the beginning' only because there was no other simulator (in English) at the time. But it was bad that most of the capes and other effects never worked. This issue never has been fixed and so many years has been passed.
I was glad I found the simulator based on JMS releases 'Went My Way (MapleMaker)'. I had been using this one as alternative simulator to Bannedstory. WMW updated frequently and fast too, but of course it had many exclusives we didn't have in GMS and vice versa. WMW was discontinued, not sure if they moved to WMW2 'MapleMaker 2' already back then. But yea even that one doesn't exist anymore.
Then some day MapleMe was released and that's the best simulator so far. It has nice a UI, easy to find items and a fast responsive search function, enough space (in Bannedstory it feels like so small), it's updated frequently (despite some people think it's not just because they didn't post a new post about it has been updated).
But yea MapleMe went offline and it's still not back, sad. It makes things so much easier when dressing up characters before deciding buying the items without regrets.
Edit: @marilanna I just took a look at the new BannedStory. It's so bad lol. The thumbnail is indeed small. UI looks ugly. We need to scroll up and down, while we could do everything within MapleMe's window and it still had plenty of space. It takes time to load the data. We need MapleMe, it's better and efficiently coded.
After all these years certain NX capes still do not work. What a GarbageStory this simulator is...
My biggest complaint is the fact that using the scroll wheel does not cycle through the list as it once did. With such a plethora of items in data now it takes ages to manually hit the scroll up/down button. The only fast way is to just slide the scroller but it sweeps past so many items at once that it becomes a hassle just to find one specific thing.
There's a lot of improvements needed to be put in there and I hope they'll do it because it's probably the only way they'll get more people to use it right now...
You can still use the [url=http://www.maplesimulator.com/programs/bannedstory]old Bannedstory4[/url], if you don't need any new items.
Personally I like using [url=http://blog.naver.com/tmvhsw/220501544286]this simulator[/url] that you download. It extracts from your maple files so the names are accurate and what not. Although, some pieces like eyes are unreliable. You also have to re-do the extraction each new patch if you want newly released items.

@marilanna eh... still kind of useless. Btw you could have just saved the image from the rankings and put it as an image of it to update your character, you know?

isnt it out dated? Mapleme was better. You can see almost all the animation.
It's always been useless. Half the items were called untitled before.
Is it updated to our current patch though?
