@East: oh really? oh. weird. i actually liked how i'd be able to stay up all night with the caffeine. i even drank straight up black coffee every night to keep me awake for ap stats homework. weird. probably that's just me. it didn't harm me because i usually stay up late at night, but to actually keep me focused would be the coffee itself.

It's more like being addicted to caffeine.
It's like one day you feel tired and you drink a cup of coffee to stay up and do w/e,
then you sleep later and when you wake up the next morning you feel like s#it and you drink another cup.
Then repeat

@SomeJello: Like I said addiction is a result of withdrawal; cause and effect is not the same thing smart one. It's like saying the destruction left behind after an Earthquake is the same as an Earthquake.

I can cut it when I need to cus otherwise when I need it I drink it black. Taste is pretty okay though.

Iced coffee is another story =3=

@SomeJello: What kind of logic is that? It's like saying because 1 + 1 = 2, 2 is 1.

I don't have a coffee addiction. I seldom drink hot coffee. I get iced coffee from Dunkin every Saturday and that's about it. Maybe it's because I'm part plant, but I get tons of energy just by being outside.
@misslime: Withdrawal actually does = addiction. You're trying to differentiate psychological dependency and physical dependency when in the end it's still addiction
Addiction is a result of withdrawal, they are different.

@SomeJello: Withdrawal =/= addiction
Withdrawal symptoms come from dependency in a chemical after taking it for some time and then cutting your use of it off (might come from addiction sometimes, but isn't the case with coffee)
Addiction comes from continued use of something harmful to you, be it caused through psychological effects (like gaming addictions) or actual chemical effects (like most drug addictions)

Go back to drinking Monster

Sometimes I'll get that 24 pack of Rockstar from costco and drink like 3 a day
Textbook teenage white boy

OT: I think getting out of a coffee addiction is pretty easy, considering I don't think it actually makes you addicted to it, it'll just give you some withdrawal symptoms if you drink oo much a day but I don't think you'll ever hit the daily quota of caffeine unless you drink a lot of energy drinks/fizzy drinks (not really sure on that, will have to do more research)

Slice them up, the stickiness will be minimal. If you're a freak about it, eat with a fork.

That doesn't happen to everyone, though. I've never experienced any kind of withdrawal from caffeine.

OT: 2-3 cups a day, which works out to about 600mL-1L. The only thing I really worry about is the cost of beans.

Man... that feel when stim addict. I don't nearly drink as much as you, only half a can a day but these energy drinks have still engulfed my wallet in flames. How do you do it

Well, you are 15, so I understand your dislike for tea at your age, but when you get older, and you need to consider healthy alternative, tea is good.

relying too much on coffee would eventually make you caffeine dependent; if you don't get your daily dosage of caffeine, you get these terrible headaches. However there are healthy alternatives to that. Drinking Green Tea is one of better alternatives to coffee.

Embrace the coffee addiction, be one with it. But seriously, if you want to stop drinking it then try eating an apple in the morning or something since I've seen pictures on the Internet that says they yield the same results.
