both are pretty fun but zero is pretty much easier to start with in terms of damage and funding.

DPS charts are bull.
Luminous being low? that's a joke, I see Luminouses do more bosses than most classes can.
Also, they don't take into account that some people don't have as much PDR and Boss Damage as others, also, lumis has Binding, which saves a lot of time, and effort when bossing.
Luminous can hit far, and hit wide. DPS charts don't take stuff like that into account.
You have to play it, to expirience that, to know that.
Also, the community speaks for itself, not some statistics and tables.

Zero is #1 for everything pretty much. But if all classes hit cap consistently, then zero is around the lower half. Zero hits hard like AB, but can be sluggish at times.

Phantoms have higher dps UNLESS you have extreme EXTREME EXTREME control as a zero
I heard the damage with phantom without much funds is not that great, will crosssurge be enough to get by while slowly upgrading through events and etc?
Phantom is currently better in every songle way, unless you're ultra funded, and can cap with Zero using Flash Cut + Moon Strike / Giga Crash + Piercing Thrust,
Then you're probably going to be the most OP class in the entire game, but something like that costs as much as the whole game combined.
Until you get the ungettable, it's way better to get a phantom use Double arrow platter while scatterring cards everywhere. And if you're capping, then you're already better than 95% of the players in game.
If both hit cap damage then phantom is better, but until you cap with both classes, zero will cap faster and easier than phantom.
Damage wise, Phantom's would have higher DPS with heavy funding, but for lower funding I'd go with a Zero. Zero's are a much easier class to get up to solid damage with than most others.
Ur gonna have A LOT more DPS as a phantom if you can afford super heavy funds for a phantom.
If you can't then I would recommend a Zero because they start at lvl 100, can dish out tons of damage without too much funding, are slightly easier to fund than phantoms, and have a fairly interesting storyline to boot. Plus, the tag system is a pretty neat system allowing you to maximize damage in a new way.
Zero more op
