On my SGS2 with ics, i'll use it heavily throughout the day (16 hours, lets say) at max brightness, and i end up around 40% battery. Not too bad And i'd probably bet ics would come out for your note within the next week, samsung usually tends to throw out their updates all at once.
@XSellOrBuyX: It'll last you for most of the day, if not the whole day. Mine does.
I use it a lot too. Movies, games, music, browsing the net, etc. It's a great phone. Oh and I reckon about 10-40% brightness is enough. That should save some battery life.
Not bulky at all. It's a little bit big but I've adjusted to it and it's the right size for me now. It fits in my pockets perfectly and I did buy a case for it. I dropped it because I'm too clumsy.

@XSellOrBuyX After a few games of Fruit Ninja, World of Goo* and one day of standby, mine's still on about 85% I think. I left it on standby (I think thats what you call it when you press the power button...) for a day because I was at camp. Haha.

Edit: It's a lot better than my HTC Sensations...

@WayofPaladin I KNOW RIGHT. HOW AMAZING IS THIS PHONE! <3
Well, but I did use my iPhone a lot, surfing almost 24/7.

Ice cream sandwich is that a phone? I just ditched my apple product and decided to use my native product te good ol samsung. The note is amazing. It's practically in every Korean drama and it's really unique. The phone kinda throws you off because it could be bigger than your pocket size but so far so good for me. Ditch the iPhone. Jobs product will never be the same anyways.

Yeah, makes me pretty mad sometimes. But the latest CM9 build isn't too bad. Except for the fact that you can't transfer things to your computer via a cable (I use Kies air anyway.) It's pretty glitch free. And according to some randoms on xda, tomorrow (March 10th) an official version of ICS will be release for the gs2, im guessing your device won't be too far behind.

@MeshMage: Why? D: I prefer ICS over gingerbread any day.
There's probably ports/ROMs of it. Google xda. I have ICS running on my GS2.

Edit: And if you're not into modding your phone, Samsung announced they'd be releasing ICS officially in the first quarter of this year, so within the next month.
I tried it on Friday. Hahaha, everything was so smooth. I changed back though.
