Nexon bringing back a Maplestory classic version?

What would Basil think about Nexon bringing back a Maplestory classic version, just like how Runescape has a classic version just for the pure joy of nostalgia and to people who actually enjoy the classic version.
That would solve a lot of "Oh how I miss old MS" threads, but knowing Nexon as a greedy company, I doubt they'd do it.

EDIT: before you discuss read this brilliant mans post;
Based on my opinion, yes. There's not one thing I could put my finger on that would definitely describe to you how it was better, you'll just have to take our word for it.
The community itself was largely affected by the game. They went hand in hand. Because the game wasn't easy to advance in, people were forced to cooperate with each other and sometimes rely on each other for help (Ludi pq required at least one thief and mage or something like that.) Also, it required you to think and use basic problem solving skills. Compare the barrel stage in Ludi PQ and Kerning pq to the math stage in Ludi Pq now. You can just use a calculator now. Also look at boss runs. Back then, nobody could kill Zakum in 10 seconds; you needed large parties vast quantities of time.

The point is, because the game is so much easier now, the dependence on others is gone and the necessity to be nice to each other is destroyed. You had to be nice to someone else to finish the pq; now you can just wait till they rage-leave and finish it by yourself.
@Maninae: Just an idea to bounce around the community and get the thick headed ones to open up youknow?
@LloydIrving: Yeah that rinse repeat.. IMO, Nexon shouldve stuck with Cygnus KNights and the 5 Explorers, then expanded with different pq's, bosses, etc. If they were to make a class, atleast make it unique. Pirate was a great addition to the explorers, I loved it when it came out.

@AckarRed: Take a look at League of Legends, the most successful free to play game. When I say free to play here, I mean it isn't necessary to buy stuff in the game with IRL currency to get an advantage over other players who don't pay. People there spend money to support RiotGames. Well I can't speak for everyone but I myself do.

@Miirag3 No duh, they're a company. Companie's mottos are "Money First, Everything Last". You shouldn't blame new classes for being broken, blame Nexon's lackluster methods of balancing. It's still a free to play game, the method is just called Freemium, Maple's not the only server to do this.
@Miirag3 Where did he say that he liked new classes? He was just saying that just because Nexon brings back old maple or releases a classic version, it won't be guaranteed to be good. We're supposed to evolve, not devolve and keep dreading into the past.

Plus, what's wrong with new classes? They add a bit of variety to gameplay and attracts certain playersand don't say that they're a ripoff of other classes, because I don't think you know what you mean.
Its not the matter of releasing a classic version, its the new releases there putting out; potentials, overpowered classes, etc. They have a cover of being f2p but if you really want to be dedicated, you have to pay to win. If you don't choose to pay, you'll have a LONG road of merching. Everything they do is for money it seems.

@Miirag3: No. Maple needs more people like you who are willing to discuss other people's ideas calmly without TYPING ALL IN CAPS and threatening to bring their level 9001 demon slayer to ks me.

Also, thanks. That's one of the kindest things somebody has said to me in a while.
@Miirag3: While I think that could solve a lot of problems, the crux of the problem still remains unsolved. The people are terrible. A lot of the people that made the game what it was back in the day are gone; they have lives now.
You got the gist, maple needs more of you haha.
Seems like the communities horrid now.

If Nexon actually did what you said and remove every other class besides Explorers and Cygnus and continued updating, I would quit this game.

@LloydIrving: seems like you enjoy playing the same new classes over and over huh.
Every new class they release is a rip off of the other old classes, except this time it's much more flashier and overpowered so they make money. Soonafter, they nerf the class, satisfy the QQer's..
rinse
repeat
? profit

The only thing I'll enjoy is no potential.

@Chubsin: thats true, maybe if they introduced big bang, but only had the Explorer's, and Cygnus Knights, the game would be much better while they updated there current content on the regular instead of adding buggy new stuff on the regular.
Just my two cents.

They'll never bring back Old MS, even if they tried. Didn't you see the reunion event?

It still wouldn't be the same. In fact it would probably be worse. Because it's the same crappy people that I have to grind with; except it's now for hours longer.

@miirag3: You can't blame him for being biased. All opinions or descriptions are biased, no matter what. It's impossible to make a truly bipartisan statement.
