Fair, not fair?
A person drops something of large value (a godly weap or something) on pure ACCIDENT, someone else loots and won't give it back unless for 1.5x the price it's worth.
would this be fair?

I like (not really) how people act all different just because it's a game. If someone accidentally dropped something in front of you irl, let's say it was a smartphone, would you really make the person pay for it? and don't give me some bs such as "it's just a game", it's still the same thing.
I'd give it back since it's not like I worked hard to get the item. All I did was press "Z" anyways.
Depends. Im really poor so if i didnt know them i would probably just cc and use a taxi to like perion or something like that LOL

nothing feels more like a betch than dropping something by mistake and then having it looted by someone else. Even if you were an idiot
Based on past experiences, if it were a Phantom, no I wouldn't give back for free, but maybe for like half of the value.
If they ask rudely and spam f4 and they look like they are already rich, then no, but yes for a fee.
If they are nice about it, and possibly do something like fame me, I would give it back.
This is why I don't drop anything. Sell or keep.
I'd give it back, regardless of the person, no questions asked. I don't want to make anyone suffer due to a small mistake.

If I knew them, I'd give it back.
If I didn't and they were rude, I'd sell it and give them 1/2 the profit.
If I didn't and they were nice, I'd give it back and ask for a very small % of the item's worth in return

If you drop something super expensive on "accident" then you deserve to either lose it or buy it back.

I think it would depend on in what manner they asked me to give it back.
No one should have dropped it in the first place. But It would be nice to have it back
