Guide for Freuds Journal Sylph Ring

Newbie Guide for those who do not read the NPC or update notes and rather read it on Basil...

Event: 9/24 - 10/21
Requirement: Lv. 33 or above
Once per character

Steps:

[b]Week 1: 9/24 - 9/30[/b]

1) Click and accept quest [b][Freud's Journal] Finding the Ring[/b].
- Watch or read and click as necessary for about a minute.
- Rewards: Revealed Sylph Ring, Damage Skin Storage Scroll(Untradeable, expires in 90 days), Freud's Journal.

2) Click and accept quest [b][Freud's Journal] Time with the Ring[/b].
- Keep item(Closed Magic Pocket Pouch) in Setup tab for 30 mins. After that it opens and a new quest pops up. Click that to receive your reward.
- Rewards: A buff for ATT +30, M.ATT +30, or 1.5x EXP for 30 mins. The buff is activated immediately and the quest is available 4 times a day instantly after it is completed.

3) Click and accept quest [b][Freud's Journal] Arnello's Daily Training[/b].

Select a task out of the five listed.

- Hunt 300 monsters around your level.
- Clear the monster Park 3 times (not including Extreme)
- Complete the quest [Freud's Journal] Time with the Ring once
- Hunt Zakum Easy Mode once
- Reach at least 100 Combo Kills ----- Any level monsters.

Rewards: You can pick Mastery Book 20 or 30 (Untradeable, expires in 24 hrs)

4) Click and accept quest [b][Freud's Journal] The Ring's First Step[/b]
- Hunt 999 monsters within level range.
- Rewards: Shared Sylph Ring type of your choice.

The 6 Shared Sylph Ring choices are:

Fire: Chance to Slow during attack (Maximum Critical Damage increases at second growth)
Thunder: Chance to Stun during attack (Critical Rate increases at second growth)
Ice: Chance to Freeze during attack (Minimum Critical Damage increases at second growth)
Nature: Chance to Poison during attack (Abnormal Status Resistance at second grown)
Darkness: Chance to Blind (Ignore Defense increases increases at second growth)
Light: Chance to Seal during attack (Boss ATT increases at second growth)

For example, I chose Light and my Revealed Sylph Ring upgraded to "Shared Sylph Ring" STR +2, DEX +2, INT +2 , LUK +2, MAXHP +20, MAXMP +20, W.DEF +30, M.DEF +30, 10% chance to apply Lv. 2 Seal when attacking.

5) Click and accept [b]Arnello's Weekly Goals, 1st Week[/b]
- Complete [Freud's Journal] The Ring's First Step to received rewards.
Reward: Sweet Tea Cake Damage Skin(Untradeable, expires on 10/22 if not used).

Day 2 - Repeat Daily 5 quest leftovers. For example, If you chose "Hunt Zakum Easy Mode once", then you will have these left. Repeat leftovers for 5 days if you want.

- Hunt 300 monsters around your level.
- Clear the monster Park 3 times (not including Extreme)
- Complete the quest [Freud's Journal] Time with the Ring once. ----- This is the 30 mins item in Setup tab.
- Reach at least 100 Combo Kills.

Reward: You can pick Mastery Book 20 or 30 (Untradeable, expires in 24 hrs)

[b]Week 2: 10/1 - 10/7[/b]

1) Click and accept quest [b][Freud's Journal] Time with the Ring[/b].
- Keep item(Closed Magic Pocket Pouch) in Setup tab for 30 mins. After that it opens and a new quest pops up. Click that to receive your reward.
- Reward: A buff for ATT +30, M.ATT +30, or 1.5x EXP for 30 mins. The buff is activated immediately and the quest is available 4 times a day instantly after it is completed.

2) Click and accept quest [b][Freud's Journal] Arnello's Daily Training[/b].
- Reward: Mastery Book 20 or 30 (Untradeable, expires in 24 hrs)

3) Click and accept quest [b][Freud's Journal] The Ring's Second Step[/b]
- Eliminate 1 Normal Zakum. Make sure your ring is not equipped.
Reward: Growing Sylph ring. The stats should be 10% of whatever you chose for second growth.

4) Click and accept [b][Freud's Journal] Arnello's Weekly Goals, 2nd Week[/b]
- Complete [Freud's Journal] The Ring's Second Step to received rewards.
Reward: Hard-hitting Damage Skin(Untradeable, expires on 10/22 if not used)

[b]Week 3: 10/8 - 10/14[/b]

1) Click and accept quest [b][Freud's Journal] Time with the Ring[/b].
- Keep item(Closed Magic Pocket Pouch) in Setup tab for 30 mins. After that it opens and a new quest pops up. Click that to receive your reward.
- Reward: A buff for ATT +30, M.ATT +30, or 1.5x EXP for 30 mins. The buff is activated immediately and the quest is available 4 times a day instantly after it is completed.

2) Click and accept quest [b][Freud's Journal] Arnello's Daily Training[/b].
- Rewards:
Sylph Stone of Strength: 1 day, Untradeable, STR: +8
Sylph Stone of Dexterity : 1 day, Untradeable, DEX: +8
Sylph Stone of Intelligence : 1 day, Untradeable, INT: +8
Sylph Stone of Luck : 1 day, Untradeable, LUK: +8
Sylph Stone of Health: 1 day, Untradeable, MaxHP: +400
Sylph Stone of Balance: 1 day, Untradeable, All Stat: +4

3) Click and accept [b][Freud's Journal] Arnello's Weekly Goals, 3rd Week[/b]
- Defeat 1 Normal Hilla.
- Rewards:
Keyboard Warrior Damage Skin: Expires on 10/22/2014 00:00, Untradeable (If Zero: Can be traded once within an account)
Eight-Title Holder: Cannot be traded after use
Eight-Chair Bag: Cannot be traded after use
Master Craftsman's Cube: 7 days, Movement is possible only within the account

[b]Week 4: 10/15 - 10/21[/b]

1) Click and accept quest [b][Freud's Journal] Time with the Ring[/b].
- Keep item(Closed Magic Pocket Pouch) in Setup tab for 30 mins. After that it opens and a new quest pops up. Click that to receive your reward.
- Reward: A buff for ATT +30, M.ATT +30, or 1.5x EXP for 30 mins. The buff is activated immediately and the quest is available 4 times a day instantly after it is completed.

2) Click and accept quest [b][Freud's Journal] Arnello's Daily Training[/b].
- Rewards:
Sylph Stone of Destruction: 1 day, Untradeable, ATT: +1, DEF: +30
Sylph Stone of Magic: 1 day, Untradeable, MATT: +1, MDEF: +30

3) Click and accept [b][Freud's Journal] Arnello's Weekly Goals, 4th Week[/b]

- Rewards:
Reminiscence Damage Skin: 30 days, Untradeable (If Zero: Can be traded once within an account)
Black Cube: 7 days, Untradeable

FAQs

1) Do I need to do it everyday?
- No, just the quest for The Ring's First/Second Step each week.

2) I missed a day so did I mess up?
- No, as long as you do it within the 1st week to prepare for the 2nd week.

3) I dropped or NPC'd my ring. Can I get it again?
- No.

4) Is the ring tradeable or account shareable?
- No.

5) Do I need to equip the Revealed Sylph Ring to upgrade it to Shared Sylph Ring?
- No, but you need to have it in your inventory.

6) When do the next weeks start?
- Every Wednesday at midnight during the event period. The Daily 5 missions will also reset at this time.

7) I didn't get the quest.
- Leave FM or SAO Dungeon or wherever you are. Also make sure you are level 33+.

8) I only want to upgrade my ring. What quest do I do?
- Week 1 - Kill 999 monsters within level range.
- Week 2 - Kill 1 Normal mode Zakum.

9) What other rewards can I get from the Daily quests?
Just Mastery Books 20/30 from 9/24 to 10/7.

10) Can the "Damage Skin Storage Scroll" store more than one skin?
- No, so be careful with it.

11) What if I do this or that to the ring?
- No, just don't mess with it until it's complete.

12) When do we start getting stones to upgrade our rings?
- 10/8 - 10/14 for STR/DEX/INTLUK/MAXHP/AllStat
- 10/15 - 10/21 for ATT, MATT

13) Which element should I choose?
- Any that is good for your character except for Thunder or Nature. I would not recommend those two.

14) Which ring can I use the stones on?
- Growing Slyph Ring. It cannot be used on Revealed and Shared Sylph Rings.

15) Can I use other scrolls on the Growing Slyph ring?
- No.

16) Are the damage skins from this event permanent?
- They are permanent when applied, but the item will be kept in your inventory until it expires.
