Do you have any OCD thoughts?

OCD thoughts -- thoughts that are unwanted but you keep thinking them anyways.

I have a few.
1. Whenever I get cold I think, "Oh great, I'm going to get goosebumps on my legs." And then I do. Leg-specific goosebumps, just because of those thoughts. I hate it because it makes my legs prickley even though I probably just shaved my legs a few hours ago.
2. Whenever I lip sync to a song, I think about yawning. Then I yawn. Every. 5. Freaking. Seconds.
3. This one was pretty much caused by someone else. She asked me if I have scholiosis since I apparently lean forward while I walk and her friend with scholiiosis does that too. I never even noticed it before then, but now I think about it every single time I walk. It's also accompanied by thought of my shoulders being test or hunched.

I hate OCD thoughts.

I have to constantly double check almost everything, and then I still have doubts.
Except schoolwork, I still can't find a means to double check that.

I have the touching/poking OCD... where you have that urge to reach out and just poke at things. I tend to die while I'm training because of it.
I don't think you understand what OCD is.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

Characters by both obsessive and compulsive tendencies.

Obsessive --> Constantly thinking about. Usually with anxiety or fear.

Compulsive --> Constant physical rituals. IE: Washing hands more than once in a setting, checking if the door is locked multiple times.

Please also understand that to actually have OCD, one must be extreme. We can't be "part" OCD.

Maybe you're an obsessive person, though. Do you have any compulsions?
this. ;o has to interfere with daily activities

I tend to count my steps to ten when i'm walking alone, once i reach ten, i start all over again. I also like to arrange all of the magnets in a fridge till they look in complete order.

I was told I might have a minor case of OCD by the school's therapist (everyone who goes to 10th grade, in my school, has to go through a 30 minutes meet with her in the summer). I try not to think of things not too much, but sometimes when I get nervous I develop some dumb temporary habit.

I have the worst OCD. I talk to my counselor about it and am on medication currently, but it still does nothing. Every time I think about girls I HAVE to touch myself. Yeah its pretty chaffed by now.

I always check if my phone and wallet are in my pockets, every 5 minutes to make sure someone hasn't nicked them.

I have OCD. No doctor has said yes or no to the idea, but I'm pretty sure I have it.

Ex1: When I turn up the volume on speakers, if there is a dial there has to be a specific way. I must turn it up slowly, and if I go too high, I need to quickly turn it all the way down, and touch my hand on the floor. I then must close my eyes and touch the dial again, and if I miss the volume dial, I need to touch the floor again. (I listen to audio books at night, so it takes me like 5 minutes once in bed to actually get settled)

Ex2: My hands and feet are claustrophobic. Sure, that isn't a symptom, but the reason is. If I crack one of my knuckles, I HAVE to do every single finger, or something bad is going to happen. If I cross one to on one foot, I must cross the same toe on the other foot. I'll go crazy if not.

Ex3: My computer volume? It ALWAYS has to be 10, unless I am showing a video to someone. Not 11, not 9, I'll keep fumbling up and down the volume button until it is exactly 10.

Ex4: I don't know if this one counts. I check things more than once. If I look under my desk after class and see no books, I'll look 4 or 5 more times, even though I know that I have all of my books. If my phone is off, I'll check five or six times if I'm at an important event where I need to be quiet. I don't know if that counts as OCD or just paranoia...

Ex5: There was this toy, and every time you hit it, it would sing one note of "Mary Had a Little Lamb," and other songs. I remember studying for exams, and I accidentally hit it with my foot. I had to go through the three songs on the toy by hitting it over and over again until it was at the exact same spot. I don't know why, but I felt like if I didn't have the toy at the exact same spot in the song, I would somehow fail all of my exams.

Ex6: I dunno. All the time, my brain is forcing me to do the weirdest things. My brain sometimes says, "If you don't hold your breath for the remainder of what you are doing, you will fail out of school." and, "If you don't move that nicknack back into place, you mom will die." And all of those things.

OT: I remember once I made an OCD thread, and the mods closed it. It was because we're not allowed medical-type threads. Just a warning to you.

EDIT: Small dots on things drive me CRAZY, and I have dig/scratch them out. Like if there was a spot of dirt on a paper, I would go crazy trying to get it off.

When I think about my hands being sweaty, they suddenly become sweaty. It's so annoying. )<
Btw, yawning is a natural impulse that your brain sends because it believes you aren't getting enough oxygen. So I don't think the yawning thing counts.

I don't know what you think OCD is, but OCD is actually recurring unwanted thoughts so numerous it interferes with everyday life. My thoughts aren't actually considered to be to the point of OCD, but they sure as hell bug me.

definitely. let's see...
since i have tourette's, i sometimes get the urge to twitch my face or do some other motion, usually on one side of my body. then i have to do the same for the other side. usually i end up spending 5 minutes alternating sides, then realize what im doing.
all my OCD-like thoughts are like that pretty much.

So today, I was getting potatoes with my sister and I asked, "is six enough?" she said, "yea" and I'm like, "I'll get seven, it's a lucky number".

Also, the TV channels have to be in multiples of 5 or square numers otherwise it erks me.

There's more...bleh

Wouldn't the 2nd one involve the open throat technique when singing?
