After switching between both (I cap on both), I can say that Dark Knights are definitely better than Heroes.

DrKs:
+ Lifesteal
+ 2nd life
+ Gungnir is ranged and has 8 lines
+ Higher base crit% from a lot of passives
- # of lines is relatively low compared to Kaisers, DW and Zeroes, my best dojo time is only 5:25.
- Gungnir has about 15 seconds downtime even with 50% buff duration IA and mech card.

Heroes:
+ Enraged Raging Blow looks cool
- No range skills
- Extremely painful to mob with
- Toggling Enrage is stupid
- Extremely low # attack lines

Even if I'm not capping, I don't see why Heroes are "the better bosser". Enraged RB is not ranged, and it hits only 6 lines, while Gungnir hits for 8 lines. During Gungnir's downtime, Dark Impale hits for 6 lines and it mobs so well.

tbh, I don't see anything that Hero's have over dark knights. More damage when dark knights don't have sacrifice sure, but thats about it.

When capped, does the whole Hero>DrK when bossing thing still apply?

I made a Drk for my cousin as a welcome back present to maplestory and its finally reached lvl 200. The reason why im asking is to see which class provides more benefits.
But he might prefer playing a hero which im not sure as of yet. anyways thanks again.

Though I feel that Heroes are more consistent against bosses for those unable to get buff duration because Heroes can keep enrage up permanently (aside from the 1-2 seconds it takes to recast), while Dark Knights have to cast both Evil Eye and Sacrifice before they can spam gungnir.
Dark Knight is a lot less punishing for newer/casual players because you don't have to worry about pots, or even dying for that matter.

If you want to save money, play a dark knight because they max cap on bosses a lot faster than Heroes.

But are heroes truly the better bosses though? Sure they theoretically dish out more pure 1v1 dmg consistently but drks got the range, heal and revive advantage that kinda evens that out. The dmg gap between drk and hero isnt that wide so funding plays a huge role. If person 1, the drk is richer than person 2 the hero then person 1 will have every advantage at every aspect of the game than person 2. Bossing, training, everything.

But, just remember that gunjir has a cool down which really, really, REALLY sucks.. which once again, evens it out. Most ppl still go drk though, cus heal & revive cus the bosses that actually matter, deal hp% dmg.

Everyone's gonna say dark knight so just go dark knight. Heroes struggle, dark knights dont so choose it.

well it depends drk is better than hero at survivabilty at all bosses. I can confirm that hero does a little more dps than drk so it depends on what you value would you rather hero 's like 15% extra dps or drk varity of survual skills

I have both classes and played through them untill 17x. I can say that I did level fast on my dark knight because of great mobbing compare to heros. Heros have a better bossing if you do not have enough buff duration. Because if you have like 50% buff duration like my dark knight you will be doing more damage compare to a hero. Having more buff duration will let you spam gungnir with the sacrifice buff which is your bossing skill for Dark knights. IMO Dark knights do more damage to boss and training. Also my dark knight is like 150k clean range and buffed goes to 310k. Dark knights buff is a lot better compare to heros and my hero has more boss damage compare to my dark knight.

Note: Dark knight has life steal so you only use pot when you need mana while training. Also the startling levels till 4 job is slow for dark knight compare to heros.
