Help and old, returning player out - questing for fame
Hello my friends, I have just recently returned to Maplestory after a three-year hiatus, and I require some advice. Quite a lot of things have changed while I was gone, and I'm not entirely up-to-date on it all.
Long story short, I decided to make a new Xenon, who I just got to level 40, but when I tried to equip the lvl 40 items I had on me, I was told that I didn't have the necessary amount of fame to do so. I'd prefer not to go around buying or begging for fame from other people, so I'd like to know if there are any 40 or below quests that I can do to raise my fame to 20+. Or maybe just general things I can do to earn fame without having to deal with other people.
Help would be appreciated, thank you very much.

unless the other characters are over level 170 id just start over for those characters.

A full AP reset costs ~14k nx, but they are only sold at random times. Sometimes events give one for free, but I wouldn't count on that.

clothing doesn't even matter til later levels
just wear whatever you want.

And let me add to that - that you can do MPE to gain equips with NO REQUIREMENTS other than being level 60 (which you are, since MPE is level 70+)
and it has 100% chance to automatocly be "EPIC" on reveal, so you could easily get 4% main-stat on every equip on every mule and main.

From 20 to 60 you could simply use Tot's Know How (the orange-haired boy icon on the left of the screen) to gain free equipment for your class every 10 levels, for free.
Open Spring Boxes and hope you get a few Unidentified Love Letters (it's like 10% or something).
They add 1-3 fame each.
You can get like a 1000 fame easily from those spring gift set boxes the monster drops. Use the envelope to increase charm and fame.
