I think 1H sword + shield is superior to 2H + rosary [b]post-red[/b]

Since, 2H has a multiplier of 1.32 and 1H has a multiplier of 1.2, people would initially think 2H is better, but;

2H = Normal(6). You would need Decent SI and +1 attack speed from Aswan.
1H = Fast (5). You only need either decent SI or +1 attack speed, meaning you can either use the inner ability for up to 20% boss OR replace the decent SI potential for 12%Str on your gloves.

Also, shields can have additional potential compared to rosary. Max line for additional potential is 3L legendary. You can get %damage or %boss for additional potential too which serves as a multiplier to your damage on reg mobs/bosses. This allows shields to be on par with the multiplier of 2H weapons while at the same time being superior to rosary since it can be scrolled for w.att and enhanced.

Unfunded -> 1H + shield
Funded -> 2H + rosary
Extremely funded -> 1H + shield

@TyeDie: It's not counted as shields yet. Probably need to wait until RED for that.

Rosary does not count as a shield until the RED update.
So at the moment, 1h + shield is what most pallies choose to use, but post RED a 2H + Rosary will be the better option in most cases.

OT: So It's better to go 2H now since the damage multiplier is better, and Rosary counts as a shield for all of your passives anyways

I like my sword personally, but I guess maces are cool too.

A low level tiny mace with a huge shield.

Go 1h + shield until you're not bothered by the lack of defense passives that we have. Afterwards, go 2h + rosary, as the damage output will be better and rosaries will become shields in the future.

Go 2h mace for three reasons

1) it has great multipliers post red

2) you still get shield mastery with a Rosario so your defense will remain pretty much the same minus the bare defense of the shield which is useless anyway cause you'll get max defense anyway

3) fanfic two handed are unbelievably cheap for fafnir weapons
