Where did you guys get accepted to?

I know it's been a while, but for transfers, we get our admissions a little later.

I got accepted into UC Davis and I'm not really familiar with the school. It's a one-up from many of the other UCs from what I hear, but other than that, I'm unsure. But seeing as how UCSD is waitlisting me and UC Santa Cruz doesn't have my major, (and I also applied to Berkley but pfft, I'm never getting in there.) I'm pretty sure it's going to be my only option.

How about you guys? Are you excited?

All you Asians getting into all these fancy-ass schools.

I'm going to Regis University. Hey, it's good enough for me...it's Jesuit, ranked kinda highish on regional universities (west), and when I tell people that I know where I'm going, they're like "oooh, fancy" and crap like that.
My UW gpa is a 4.0, W gpa is a 6.38. I'm president in many clubs in my school(T.S.A, Robotics, SHPE, Chess, SECME, NHS), freshman year i was class treasurer, and every year after i've been president of my class. My school offers the Cambridge program, so i took 6 AICE classes and recieved my AICE diploma. I have over 400 hours of community service. I've been in interships for companies using 3D CAD design programs such as Mastercam and Solidworks. I was in M.I.T's MITES program last year. I recieved a 2300 on my SAT and a 34 on my ACT. I've forgotten what else i've done throughout the years lol.
Damn son all that and only 55%? My twin is at MIT on a full ride right now and didn't do all that stuff. You sound like quite the scholar and a very outgoing person on paper. I wonder what you're actually like.

Applied to UBC commerce only and got in! A very risky move but whatever.

@Yoruta: Oh, that's weird, for our school, all AP's are weighted 5, and a few of the harder honors are weighted 5, but everything else is weighted 4. Credits don't affect GPA. That's a really weird system o.o

Also, don't give up hope for Berkeley haha, I didn't think I would get into UC Berkeley or UCLA after being waitlisted at UCSD and rejected from UC Davis.
@yoruta: how do you have the time, motivation, and intelligence to do all that? Goddamn. What do you do in your free time?

Your post just inspired something out of me. Life is short and will to end suffering is infinite because there is plenty of time
I'm pretty sure it's impossible to have a weighted GPA over 5, unless your grading scale is different from the way it's set up by 99.9% of high schools in the US. Also, go to MIT or Stanford, don't settle for less. Student loans are 100% worth it if you go to those schools imo. Grats Also, standord pays tuition fully for those who's parents make less than 125k a year or are financially independent so I really don't see why money is such a huge issue.

Honors classes are weighted as 5 points, while A.P and AICE classes are weighted 6. Once i recieved all my necessary credits to graduate, weighted gpa can increase even more. The valedictorian at my school as a weighted gpa of 6.40, and there have been other cases of students with over 8.0 W GPA's. And thank you very much

@pinoymystic @Avatar: His EC's and test scores are quite average, for kids accepted into MIT and Stanford without legacy. I myself did not apply for any top 20 schools except Berkeley, and have similar test scores, community service, club leadership, and I will have taken 14 AP tests by the end of this year. I think the most impressive thing is probably the MITES program, and perhaps his class council leadership positions.
