Cant get maplestory to open

Ever since I updated the game this morning every time I start the game (website or launcher) I get a termination error 0x00000000 something about the memory not being read idk.
Anyone know how to fix this? I think i read some other people having this issue.

You'll need a copy of Windows 7 as well.

No dice.
I have tried that. I honestly don't even believe there is an -opengl parameter as Maple was built using DirectX and doesn't support OpenGL since it only runs on Windows.
Yes, I've tried using GameLauncher. The regular Maplestory.exe never worked under Windows 8.

Edit: I tried changing my desktop icon's path to:

MapleStoryMapleStory.exe GameLaunching

And changed my MapleStory.exe's compatability to vista. It still doesn't launch.
I actually like 8 a LOT more than 7. The interface is so much smoother in my opinion. I'm going to try re-installing now, but I don't know if it's going to do much..
Let's keep the discussion geared toward the issue at hand - there are some of us that like the new interface, and there are those that don't. That's inevitable and part of life.

I submitted a ticket to Nexon about the issue, I'll post an update if I get a response.

There's more to life than MapleStory.

Windows 8 has a lot of improvements over Windows 7.
