Thinking About Making a Demon Avenger

Title, Is there anything i should know about the class such as what order to use skills in or were to put AP/SP. Were should i train (is it different from other classes), What link skills should i get and i don't really have much funding (only like 56m) i do have some of my old Pirate CRA equipment as well that i could sell/trade. i'm also looking at the Evan class a bit (feeling like being unique due to the fact i never see Evans around).

Note (Funding): You can get the best gear in the game without putting any money into the game, it will just take longer then people who $4000~5000 (which i think is insane) into the game. and like i said, got my old clean Pirate CRA equipment i can sell for 60~70m each.

@InQbus i like the looks of the class, seen a few skill videos for the Demon Avenger too also I'm always complaining about running out of mana since i like to flash jump everywhere so I'm glad i can glide everywhere and not worry about it. currently on the 2nd job advancement seems fun so far <3.

I love my DA. I was able to solo normal zak at 110 with lvl 100 gear that was spell traced.
I would highly recommend doing the crucible missions to get crusader coins to buy said traces.
She's 90k buffed at 132 using spell traced 120 gear and those new boss accessories. Try to get set effects for those % hp as well as gear thay gives % hp as base.
As others said, try getting link skills and at least using high level character sets if you have them. They add up a lot of hp.
DA is a pretty solid class to pick if you're unfunded. I wouldn't put too much money into it until you get to 140 (which, coincidentally is when you can equip Empress gear, as well as max all of your skills). Play the class and see if you truly enjoy it. If you get bored before 4th job, just remember, you don't have all of your skills to work with just yet.
I wouldn't use the 56mil just yet. Heck, I would suggest farming for the new 140 set, and saving up for a Fafnir Deathbringer instead. You'll also want to hold onto some money for mastery books, since those can get pretty expensive. Also, since you'll be pumping all of your AP into HP, those equips with %hp are now very useful.
You won't be making too much money until around 130-140 ish. That's when you can Zakum extremely quickly and possibly solo Hilla, as well. Pick up the potions, pick up the equips, and sell everything that you can't use. You won't need potions (but if you feel the need to, hold onto one stack of power elixirs, they help in a pinch).
Overall, DA is a great class to start out as, since they don't require any funds to pump out decent damage and you save a ton not having to buy potions. Play the class and see if you enjoy it. Trust me, it's a lot more exciting than most players make it out to be.
Technically speaking, if you're saying that it's a lot more exciting than most players make it out to be, that's pretty much saying that pretty much everyone doesn't find it appealing and the "excitement" factor only comes from the minority of Demon Avenger players. That doesn't seem like a positive pitch to entice someone to play a class. That being said, the only way he'll know for sure if Demon Avenger is for him is to try it with an unbiased opinion, but it's good to hear some positives from those who do play it.

Level 1-200 with NO USE of HP/MANA Pots (except during Boss Raids). It's the easiest class (arguably) to play with no funding. You are strong enough to actually start Easy Zakum at the lowest level and you can tank him pretty well solo afterwards. DA does great basic damage without heavy gear. All of our stat is HP. So you not only have HIGH HP (no other class compares to our HP Pool). But you use no MANA. That saves you money right there.

When you do Zakum and Hilla, always pick up the Pots.

Equips are generally easy to locate these days for DA (besides the end game equips of course). So 1-140, you can use what drops to the Pensair 140 gear.

Once you get used to the game play and the skill combinations, you are gold. When you hit 165, at SDH, you will considerably less difficulty trying to survive and kill mobs there.

I have been to SDH with 3 characters. DA, Phantom and Xenon. DA requires no pots to tank and kills them better than other two classes. Therefore you can potentially level up much faster to 170+. Once 170, you have a hyper that helps out too. DA has great potential.

Phantom was also good at SDH because Magic Guard help survival but it BURNED pots. Lots of it. Def is MUCH higher on DA (max Def.) versus my Phantom. Phantom was only useful to help leech 165-180 (due to HS).

Xenon is absolutely horrible to SDH with. Limited Survivability and Pots BURN FAAAST. You also have a shorter range and all. Its overall, really bad to SDH with at early levels. Only way to SDH with a Xenon is when I partnered with a near-level Bishop.

So in playing some high level characters, you want to compare funding, etc. for end game, and stuff...DA is the cheapest overall and you will have higher damage earlier on than the two classes.

For end game, many other classes get considerably stronger. However, they will DRAIN funds. Equal funds = DA will win. But if you have unlimited funds and want to pour a few grand in for Max Damage, there are other characters that can be more fun to you and you may find it more to your suit. It is a fun warrior though! I

I would try out the game play. I got kinda bored with the game play once I hit 200. I lost playability with DA as I never PQed (RNJ, etc.), or partnered in SDH till 200. 1-200 was completely lonely and solo. I would recommend going for game play. But if you want good damage with limited funds, go DA. The link skill is not only great, but you can save money and make money on it to fund another class.

Bossing on a DA and farming Pots is easy. This will help towards your other characters.

Plus there are a few in game things you can do to help DA damage as well. Like Link Skills from Kaiser, Cannoneer and the Dark Knight (Character Card).

Demon Slayer is also good as it uses its own free mana system (you charge by killing monsters).

Either of the two demons are good.

I made a DA the other day purely for the link skill, and since I'm a mage I have no armor or anything really suited to boosting ATT, so this DA was pretty much unfunded except for pots.

But at level 120 he was already hitting 200k per crit line with Exceed. The game play takes a little getting used to, and I didn't have much fun with him 'till level 100. But that's mainly cause I love my mage and it's quite different to it.

Good class to go into unfunded I think

U dont need any kind of funding for a DA ..made mine during the RED event for link skill. I went from 1-120 without the use of a single pot or gears within a day or 2. Today its one of my mpe potion mules. I really enjoy playing it, even if its for a few minutes a day; however, it's not a hero, thus I can not main it

Before seriously funding a DA level it up and test out if you like it or not, It's not a class for everyone... What i would recommend doing is using any link skills you have on it, and trade over any equips that are easily transferable between characters (evo rings, work gloves, absolute belt/shoulder. etc...) just to see how it plays. If you get well into 4th job and still like it, and enjoy the bossing, go all out for funding.
And some tips to work up a good bit of meso to help you out, do daily bosses and loot the potions to sell. Zak, Easy HT, and Hilla are great to solo for grinding potions. If you're more funded than most on your main, my typical routine is to do all my HT runs, Hilla, Zak, ranmaru, von leon, and get a buddy for root abyss. Every day i end up with 4-6 mil in potions. it adds up
Good luck, and i hope you enjoy the class
