What to max now
I got my wind archer to 120 then took a break until the cygnus patch. After maxong albatross max and bow mastery, should I max Sky's song or Trifling Whim?

I got my wind archer to 120 then took a break until the cygnus patch. After maxong albatross max and bow mastery, should I max Sky's song or Trifling Whim?

Well since everyone seems to have already explained things, I'll just tell you my build. I'm 151 so I've got a good chunk of skills maxed.
albatross > expert > trifling whim > sharp eyes > wind blessing > call of cygnus > vortex > song of heaven > emerald dust. I'm currently working on vortex, and I can tell you having all of your passives and actives maxed first is AWESOME~
Albatross Max is a better damage increase than any other skill. It increases my range much more than Expert did. My plan is:
Albatross Maximum>Bow Expert>Sharp Eyes>Wind Blessing>Spiraling Vortex>Trifling Whim>Song of Heaven>Call of Cygnus
I'd do Vortex right away.
My build is
Vortex > Albatross Max > Expert > Sharp Eyes > Wind Blessing > Emerald Dust > Sky Song > Trifling Whim > Call of Cygnus
When you hit 150 thats when Sky Song is better than Vortex 1v1. All because of the hyper skill you unlock.
what I did on my WA is
Albatross>expert>wind blessing>trifling whim. right now i'm in the process of maxing out the emerald dust. i think after that, i'm going to max SE, and then the wind pierce skill
Expert>Albatross>SE>Trifling>Wind Blessing, then do what you want (I did MW, Sky Song, Trifling, then Emerald Dust, but I had nearly all the skills maxed in a day because I rushed... I'm sure there's a smarter way to raise the skills but it worked fine for me c: )
Ah ok. The guide I was looking at said to max bow mastery then alvatross then skys song which I thought was weird. Ok so ill go with winds blessing for more evasion. Thanks
So far at 109 I have:
1 in both attacks
25 Mastery
4 Albatross->Maxing this now
After that:
Finish Mastery
Max SE
Not sure, but probably Wind Blessing
Trifling
Vortex
MW
Song of Heaven

Honestly, Sky Song should be one of the last skills you max as a Wind Archer. It really isn't THAT great when compared to Vortex, which is stronger/burst damage & even hits more mobs AND knocks em' back. I went with this on my 141 WA: Albatross, Wind Blessing, Mastery, Sharp Eyes & now maxing our version of Maple Warrior. After that, I'm going for Trifling Wind, then Vortex then Sky Song & I'm hitting almost 200ks.
Max wind blessing if you haven't already. Then go Trifling whim. In general for 4th job it's better to max passives and buffs before actives.
From here on you can max Sky's Song, but I think emerald dust or vortex might be more helpful even before that.
