Try VIoletta's mushroom castle jump quest, and then you might realize that if you rush directly into the ground without jumping onto the first wall mount that is obviously not camouflaged very well, then you would have told yourself perhaps that you were such an honest joe that you had in fact shown yourself how honest you were by jumping into the pit that you could go back from and jump back on the platform. but if you were trying to do a jump quest in the cygnus of knights quest when you enter a macrobiotic landscape, then you will realize the wall at the top with two disappearing bricks are rigged to not be possible, but the game developers are testing your skill to see if this is true before they remove the jump quest.
MS just has this weird thing on scking the players back, I've quitted countless of times too and just find myself crawling back to this mushroom game again.
