A problem with linking link skills
So my main character is my beginner, StopTeasing, Obviously because of that any link skill characters would have their link skills linked to him. When xenon came out i decided to link all skills to that to make it easier and faster to train it to 120 to get its link skill lvl to lvl 2 for my beginner(as i did with all other link skill characters) my problem is now that my xenon is lvl 70, i was going to link the skill to my beginner and i cant! on ANY of my link skill mules anymore. i can link them fine to all my other characters. but not my beginner. he doesn't even show up in the link skill to what character window thingy. Is this a glitch? will it be fixed? My beginner lost around 20k range clean because of this! does anyone know why this happened? i relogged on all my link mules multiple times and it still doesnt show him thusly i cant link the skills to him.

No, i actually use ctrl. With ctrl and my original range(before all this happened) i was hitting 110k's. sometimes i even use my pink bean and mihile familiar cards(still searching for someone to sell me a cygnus familiar card.) i only use giant potions when i boss for the stance effect and awesome damage that comes with it.(can hit a max of 1.6m damage with ctrl over at HoH.) im not a fan of using GP's to grind with. unless im on a time limit like per say, monster park, than i might. i also don't party train. been a solo player since i started maple(yes even on jobbed characters)

I used to have a Maple Islander at level 30 in 2006/07 along with all my cousins XD Yaa go perma beginners Back then the amount of time to get 30 on Maple Island is probably 200 for normal class now, not even kidding. In fact if you had x2 coupons with x1.5 -coupon with 1.5X HS with 2X event with Mercedes Link with Pendant, 200 now is even faster.
@sano4444: yeah I can understand how do you train if you don't mind me asking? through giant pots?

thank you very much than. i had alot of fun doing it. the struggle on how to get a 3rd tier top/bottom was insane untill homecoming shop was out many patches ago. this goes for face equips too, but the 120 silent crusader saved me with that as well. granted i have LOTS of room to improve his gear, knowing that i'll be a set range shorter than what i was(granted nexon doesn't fix this) is a huge thing to me.

It can't be a problem with where the link skills are stored, because they're still in the beginner tab. I wonder if there's just a problem with the selection UI not recognizing beginners. "
It seems that it COULD be a ui glitch. this is what i was hoping for and i really hope that its just a glitch and that they fix it soon. i cant fathom funding my beginner any further knowing that i'll always be 20k range shorter than what i originally was.
@lazershock: Ewwwwww its charlie! But charlie! u just dont understand! u should know first hand the things i went through with my beginner. afor ur last statement refer to my post 3 lines up in this here comment.
@Everyone else: I really appreciate all your intel on this matter and all of your encouraging comments to make me not quit my beginner. I shall wait a bit before i do. he is afterall my favorite class and something i enjoy ALOT in this game.
It's too early to say Nexon is not going to fix the issue as we know they are usually pretty slow with problems like this. I know it's frustrating, but give them some time and see how it goes.

@Sunlight: the problem is the link skills gave me extra exp(every bit counts in my book) 10% hp/mp(canoneer) and 10% extra hp(kaiser) and 20k range. losing all that makes it harder to boss(i was able to solo hillia.) train(i die super fast now and hit alot less) if i had my original range, spending the money i would to get bck said 20k range would increase my range more to my goal, but now id have to spend double that. its like i was cheated/hacked. i put in alot of dedication, time and a HUGE CRAP load of cash into my beginner to make him the way he was. link skills was just a extra easier push, but they made a decent amount of his range. its alot harder to reach 50k range clean on a beginner compared to actuall jobbed characters so getting pushed back like this is a huge kick in the rear.[/quote]
Nexon may have slapped you in the face, but giving up on your dreams is a real kick in the balls.

I'd relax, I REALLY doubt this is an intentional thing, seeing as every other version of MS allows beginners to use link skills. I'd moreso bet its a glitch with the UI, my friend. Give it a while and focus on improving your range in the meantime, it'll be sorted out eventually.

Apparently after unleashed beginners are unable to obtain the link skill. (Just read the link )
When you get to level 70, and get that quest from the Maple Messenger Red Box Thing, your link skill will glitch. If you try to link it to another character [b]after[/b] you accepted that quest, your out of luck. You have to do it before you obtain the quest. This same glitch also happened with Kanna.

Just address these problems to the nexon staff or something. Hopefully they will take your issue into account. Tickets, forums, anything should help. Try before quitting i guess.

The face i just made when i found out the beginner im married to is quitting because of link skills.
