opinions and experiences with boarding school
hi everyone! i would like to ask you to share any opinions or previous (or current!) experiences you have/have had with boarding school. im considering applying to a college preparatory boarding school in the fall of next year, and i would like to hear some firsthand experiences or just general opinions!

I think it would be a good experience.
You get a taste of the college life most likely with some high school-like restrictions.
I know going from high school to college I was kind of freaked out living on my own. But it's been a pretty good experience so far.
Idk... it really does depend on which school. I'm in New Hampshire right now, and the school is great I guess. The kids are good, although some are pretty stupid (there are a lot of legacies and idk rich people who donate) kids, and extremely smart ones. Uhhh activities are plentiful, and unfortunately so is homework. You really learn to balance your time. For third formers, you have to be back at the dorm at 9pm, which is frustrating, and I have chapel at 8am every monday, tuesday, thursday, and friday. My school has Saturday classes and that's frustrating (I MISS MY WEEKENDS). The worst part about my school is that it's so expensive. It's like basically $60,000 a year, and they make you pay for, like, everything. </3 The new gym is great (they put a ton of mils into building it), but I mean the little things are not there. There's only one ply toilet paper, the bandwidth is awful, and simple things like loaner laptops are these ancient lenovos. Uhh.. the food is okay. Weekends there are shuttles that go into town, but otherwise taxis are sooo expensive.
Overall, it's an amazing school and I'm lucky to be here, but goddamn that tuition. Also, I miss my home a lot.
You get whipped if you don't do your homework I hear.
There's a lot of sexual tension and release within the dorms.
