thankfully I haven't played since January. But I'm sure i'll somehow be pulled back in. Then again, maybe not since I've replaced maple with a lot of other good games.
Just checking out what's happening in the game. I started playing in 2008, but knew about the game since 2007 and nearly all of my friends used to play it at the time. So, MS is pretty nostalgic to me.
I don't play it nomore, but i do come here to see whats goin on with the game, i'd give maplestory 2 a try whenever it does come out but other than that i am done with maplestory
You still play this game because your character represents an ideal fantasy version of yourself, but even then you realize compared to other player's characters you aren't up to par so a competitive motivation sparks within you to fund and grind. And MapleStory is constantly releasing new attractions that compel you to do even more. You really don't know what else to do with your lonely self and seek companionship with other relatable folks behind a charade.
I still play this game because I like it. But that's just me.

To dress up my character. I use this game as a 10 minute Barbie dress-up. I only play during the summer though

i threw $3700 into a pc and i'm playing maple YIKES
pretty much nostalgia...i come back for a few months and "quit" for a few months lol...
i come back every now and then, play for a day or 2 and then quit because i have nobody to talk to and everyone is antisocial
