isn't it obvious? You can better estimate how long it will take IN THEORY than how long it could POTENTIALLY take... The unexpected is unexpected for a reason, they could have to shut the game down for a WEEK for all they know...

It would give the people that keep constantly checking if maples back on, the advantage over fm spots and stuff like that, against people who would log in at the time nexon said the maintenance would be over

Nexon actually does a really good job in figuring out how long a patch will take, and they even overshoot their expected time with every maintenance, which you can see when they are able to finish early. The problem is that after patching they have to boot up the servers and test them to make sure nothing hugely major is broken. If something did go wrong, it takes an hour to take the servers offline and put them back up, to ensure you don't lose data, and that doesn't take into account actually fixing what went wrong. So when more than 1 thing goes wrong, if it doesn't go wrong at the same time Nexon is just out of luck. There is literally nothing they can do because you can't speed up how fast you take the servers on and offline and still keep the data secure

I understand what you mean, you have your plans and time set up for about when you are going to play, however
you should take into consideration that things like this can happen and make a back-up plan if you're that serious about your
schedule with gaming. Also, Nexon for sure does and did what you stated, I think you're just mad that you can't play right now or on the
stated time and got nothing else productive to do other than posting this on BasilMaket.

There was a period of time like 1 year ago where EVERY maintenance would just finish earlier and it would always leave me feeling happy. They should do that again!

What matters is if it isn't done yet you should patiently wait for it.

Patches/longer maintenance are mostly for bigger updates and adding/removing a lot of content. We're getting a new boss and an update to the boss list as well as more equips and more events. by your logic theyd have to patch every time they start an event.

Why doesn't nexon just put things like the black heaven game files in the game in like the 1st matenance they have for it then just release the content at reset the day it's supposed to be out instead of like 4-5 diff matenances

My dad does the same thing for our business. The way it works (according to him) people want to hear things go by faster than longer so even though in the end it takes just as long people are still content because they still satisfy their craving. Although this is jewelry business im talking. Personally I agree with you though.

I'm not neglecting anything. More often then not they always have an extension. Where can you go wrong overshooting something like this. I feel like majority of the players expected a extension. Yet we attempt to give hope to nexon itll be done on time and yet it isnt.

That would require foresight and being prepared. Nexon is a band of amateurs, however, so they think announcing a shorter server check is somehow more appealing to us even though it'll end up being much longer in the end.
