Whose to say that there arent quincy around that no one knew about? What if there are quincy that weren't talked about in the manga yet? Heck there was a substitute soul reaper besides ichigo that they never mentioned till the fullbringer arc so why not? Also, i dont know if you read the last chapter, but the guy that fought ichigo used a necklace similar to ishidas to activate his abilities. This gives enough proof to show that quincy MIGHT be involved in this arc. And even if Ichigo and Ishida are friends, the possibility that he could for whatever reason be temporarily sided with more quincies is not out of the question. He might be fooled into thinking something that isnt true and end up helping the quincies if there are others.

Y'know. At first I thought he was Zangetsu for some reason.. Waah. o.o

Maybe they can copy/stole bankai or moves from people that are deceased

I think they can also cancel or vanish their bankai.

I think it would be a good final arc if it was a war between soul society and quincies. Ishida could possibly gain new powers and even become an enemy (most likely temporary) if he is persuaded to join his kind.

i don't think that's on old character, i think kubo just uses the same techniques to make people look evil

Looks like quincy have come back to take revenge on the Gotei 13. Aren't gotei 13 the ones that wiped out quincy?

They seem to have an ability to Steal powers, its a possibility?
