Unless you want to play what's left of Runescape...
If you change your mind, LaTale is the closest game to Maplestory that I've seen.
[*]Quite a lot of gameplay aspects inspired by Maplestory (for the most part Pre-BB)
[*]All of the pay2win or gambling aspects of the game can be bought from players for a relatively cheap price.
[*]The combat is very combo-oriented, with most skills having cooldowns so you'll have to switch it up a lot. Very engaging.
[*]Money is extremely easy to come by. Basic quests can level you up very fast and net you a lot of start-up money.
[*]Leveling is kind of difficult without % exp gain potions
[*]The soundtrack is god tier
[*]The community is god tier
[*]The art in loading screens and backgrounds is very nice

WoW is fun !
But you'll get bored if you play it without any friends so I quitted.
It isn't as addicted as what people pretend it to be.
One you can play in China? Well that'll be hard...
I would like to know as well, but for Australia, and downloads are okay
