I am stuck in event hall but didnt have lag until today. Now I can't even move to get the portal before im frozen.

@stu321 seriously... not cool... town lag was terrible, thousand times worse than event hall lag. Gale and Spark can be found in ToT, i got there all the time to shop... They moved the npc out, even said this in A better maple, to see which ones are really the town lagging npcs. Looks like people think other npcs cause lag too, and they moved out the major ones to see if it lag reduce in town. if it did cause lag in event hall, i guess they might do something about that. If they don't, those npcs can stay in event hall forever and i don't need to go see them...

@RockGod1 you don't even know what your talking about... Just because you didn't get town lag doesn't mean the rest didn't, and my laptop is not even that crappy. It started all of a sudden after Tempest patch, one of my laptops started to lag in town. Then at Unleashed patch the other laptop started to lag too. And it lagged in all the towns except Aquarium where there's no Cassandra, Gaga and Maple Admin in town. They are put in a room by themselves. If you see the gms forum post about town lag, someone explained a possible cause, and why the npcs lag.

My friend got town lag once and would basically crash if he went into a map with event NPCs. He managed to fix it with a system restore, but I can imagine that people who didn't know how to fix it right away are now stuck with town lag. Basically, whether town lag happens or not has a lot to do with computer settings (no idea what), which is why people with new computers can get town lag while people with old computers might not have it.

The NPCs do lag some people because of how they were coded to load the events continuously.

Spark and Gale can be found in Ereve and Temple of Time as well. Why not go there.

I lag in the event hall but not to the point of crashing. I can still talk to cassandra, maple admin, and the RED shop people.

The event hall wasn't created to solve the npc lag, it was created to solve town lag. Hopefully Nexon is using this as a temporary solution while they decide how to deal with the NPCs that cause the lag.

I barely escaped from the wraths of Boat Quay town trying to approach to Cassandra, she and Gaga are the only event NPCs there. I can approach to GM Admin on Maple Island just fine, just not Cassandra. =x

It was still bad enough to freeze and crash some players. Now they can avoid it
