Diy hairdye fail
haha so today I bought hair dye and was like yo its time to lose this virgin hair and I mixed that concoction and put it on for the correct amount of time that the pamphlet stated and bam 45 minutes later I see only the top of my head is coloured, that even like only near the front of my head. Not even the whole top of my head my friends. Sooo guess I dunno whether to cry now or laugh or make a thread about it on basil to share my pain slash rage slash sorrow. I look like a looserr and got work tomorrow woohoo.
What do.
What color was your hair before you dyed it?
If "runway red" is what im imagining (bright ass red?) then itd be difficult for the red to deposit into dark hair and as a result would not come out as marketed.
So to actually get the proper color showing you would have needed to bleach your hair first then apply the dye.
Unless of course your hair wasnt black/dark brown to begin with. Then who knows what happened.
My hair's a dark brown. We can call it black tho Yeahh I get what ur saying, and tbh I wasnt expecting a bright red cuz of my own natural hair colour which is why I bought the brightest red there was so it would give the best effect compared to the other duller dyes which woulda probably not have even showed up on my hair. But my question and sad situation is why did only one little part of my head get the colour and the rest didnt? Its sosos weird. Its looks soso funny too. Guess ill check with dem salonists tomorrow

I wanted red and I SWEAR THE HAIR DYE WAS RUNWAY RED but it came out pretty much brown. (Yeh thats how bad haha)
Coincidence? I think not.

When I dyed my hair, I deliberately only died some of it! I'm sure it's not too bad. And you can always try to dye it again!

Could you take a picture of your hair?
You can edit out your face, if you'd like.
