Out of Curiosity

How are people supposed to survive with no source of money especially if they cannot buy nx or merch? Im asking because I am in a similar situation and Im becoming desperate. However, i speak for all people who cannot afford things they need to reach their potential and possible goals in maple.

EDIT: About me: Im 177 Dual Blade, I currently only have 145m, and I have a 35k range clean. My problem is actually getting income because the last time i bought nx was september of last year, and I didnt want to waste any more money on this game. SO...I have been living off 200m that i made early in January and I have not been able to make money since. I have tried to merch but i always fail. There....lol

If Meso Up were still around, I'd recommend that. When I was a lvl 105 Hermit, I trained at Dark Rashes in Leafre because pirates was way too overcrowded. It was decent training, but what I really liked was they dropped a good amount of mesos, potentialed equips, and Unagi's which was the main HP was I was using. I spent less than 100k for MP pots, and gained 50m+ from the things that dropped. This doesn't only apply to Dark Rashes, nor do you need Meso Up. The point is that hunting monsters that drop good stuff is pretty much the only thing you can do now.

Well I created a merc in chaos just to relive being poor without any sort of funding. I started with killing blue mushys near henesys and looting those red box pots they drop and npcing them for 1k each, i mean its not much but it helps out

Nexon has made MS incredibly easy to play and reach a relatively high level in a very short period of time. Pre-BB we trained much more for our levels and while training we picked up our drops, sold what we could and NPC'd the rest. During that time, we amassed wealth.

Now you have classes like Demon Slayers that require very little funding until you get to the level where you want 'godly' equipment. Guess what? Unlike most everything else that was so easy up to now, that is not going to happen without hard work on your part.

If you go to the very far right of LHC there's a portal there you can go through.

quest are basically the only way to get mesos killing monsters for thier mesos will probably make you spend more money on pots than the amount you gain from it...

Train on mobs that drop mmbs and either sell them for a few mil or open them and hope for a maple warrior jackpot. ToT Mobs work well for me as they drop equips and stuff that sells for a few thousand mesos each.

I just NPC items that drop, sell energizers for 1m each (If people actually bought any anymore) and collect mesos that drop from monsters
For pots, I go and solo Ani over and over. You can do it as many times as you want in a day, and his box gives either 100 dews, or 100 reindeers.
Getting good items for your character are as easy as finding/getting them yourself. Or, take advantage of events (especially this one). If you buy something that is really wanted (say for instance, the 85 coin cane) you can sell it for a boatload, then buy something nice for yourself.
where do you go to ani?

Abuse events. I remember when I replayed maple in the Legends patch, made something like 150m selling MMB and leaves. It's a bit harder now but what you can do is save those renegades coins and get mastery books to sell to others (not sure if you can still buy phantom books separately but they were a very good source of mesos). I guess you could buy dual blade/pirate mastery books open up and hope for the best?

Edit: Oh and selling clean renegade weapons can get you 20+ m

Once upon a time you could find a scroll, sell it and be relatively rich.

I agree with you. I don't like NaSA and Curiosity because I think it's a waste of money :X. They couldve spent that money on helping people maybe, who cares if there's sand in another planet. It's not that important, rather than trying to find a different planet to live on why don't we focus on maintaining our food resource here back in Earth.

Out with Curiosity! SCREW MARS >:O

I have 10k. I rely on my alchemist to make me potions and I just have fun leveling.

I'm doing fine right now... I'm having a little trouble traveling, but otherwise everything is going great. You can have fun being dirt poor, you just need to treat this game as what it is, a game.

@keidel66 @achyif: dont get me wrong, i do play for fun, its just that for someone like me who never gets money, the only thing i ever spend my money on is potions, and those are pretty expensive. But i mean for example, if i were to run out of money for potions, how would i be able to get around since there is no way, i am currently aware of, for people to get money other than picking it up, and/or getting nx. Basically Im asking how are people who play supposed to live off a deficit or make any amounts of money...
