Failed Skillbook Rant Thread
edit: Meant MASTERY books, not skillbooks. I was too blinded by rage to think. OHWELL.
GOD, DAMMIT.
So a few days ago I bought Dagger Mastery 30 from a dude in the FM, and it FAILED and I was like, "okay, that's fine, first try, whatever."
So today I bought TWO MORE of the same book from a guy in the FM, and [i]both[/i] of those failed in a row, and I was like "REALLY? But okay, alright, it's only three tries total, it's cool." At this point I'd blown about 60mil total.
So then, about an hour ago, I found ANOTHER one for just 9mil, so I tried that one and THATONEFAILEDTOO, so I was just like YOOOOOO-
So then I tried a fifth one and [i]thatonefailedtoogoddammit and I was just like YOOOOO[/i]

EDIT: I can't post for some reason, but I am reading your stories! Part of why I made this thread was to read about even BIGGER losses, so I can feel better about only failing five. So keep posting your tales of woe!
edit2: At the dude asking about prices: That's how much they cost right now! I've been all over the FM -- and that's the worst part, really. That they're so goddamned uncommon for some reason, so when I fail one, I'll have to spend another hour running through the market before I can try again.

I failed about 20+blaze 20's tyvm.
Lucky Evan books are cheap.
I spent a day spamming for dark impale 20. Finally found one and it worked!
Then came the rollback. I lost the skill levels and the book and spent the next week looking for another.
I failed tripple throw 20 3 times back when they were worth 20 mil in ems. Ever since that i have never failed a single skillbook, and i now have all my skills maxed

I've had amazing luck with my Kaiser books. I've passed passed them all on the first or second try.
Failed a bunch of shadow shifter 20's when they only dropped from left pianus. 100m - 150m book.
I never failed any books.
All my Phantom skills are maxed, excluding MW.
I will never use any books again.
I've never had a mastery book fail on me
most books i failed in a row was nova warrior 30, passed it on the 5th try, it only cost be 50mili, so it didn't matter

On the day that the Kaiser MMB hot time came out. I spent about 300m on books, mainly Gigas waves, unbreakable will, and ADV temp blades. I was counting, I failed about 13 or 14 books (80% of them were book 30's) (can't remember exactly now). Lucky I waited till the books got cheaper though.
shut up. I failed 5 gigas wave 20s in a row. SEVENTY PERCENT SUCCESS RATE. This was the day after kaiser released, when they cost 50-100mil each and I was racing to 200 as fast as possible, so I had to spend that money. Dont even want to hear it. But the game compensated by passing my nova warrior 20 and 30 without incident.

failed 5 rush 20 books 1 MW30 so far
Don't rage over failing five books. I failed 10 SE 30s when they cost 20 to 30m each. I don't care how much they cost, but failing 10? Yeah keep crying about your five.
