For the past 10 years of service, this year has been certainly most challenging.
Since RED update, we have tried our best to see what the players really wanted.
We have listened, and here it is. We present you, the YOU&i Update.

The fundamental and first element of MapleStory is combat system.
Most users have given feedback on combat system.
For more dynamic combat system that requires more control and give tense feeling of a battlefield, we have revamped the combat system.

To minimise boring battle on field, we have modified monsters on the field.

Monsters that fulfill certain requirements become Elite Monster, which becomes larger and stronger.
In return, you will be able to receive better rewards for defeating it.

When Elite Boss appears, all mobs will disappear except the Elite Boss and Elite Monster.
If it is a rare Boss, try calling for help to defeat the Elite Boss and get awesome rewards.

Rune will be given on field at random and you can use Runes to buff up yourself on field.

In order to reduce pay-to-win policies, we have revamped Mileage so that you can obtain Mileage more easily via more routes. Also, we have prepared a shop that you can buy items with ONLY Mileage.
Also, paid services such as reduced auction house taxes will be free with YOU&i Update and Cubes and enhancement items will be easily obtainable in-game.

Speaking of enjoyable game experience, wouldn't leveling up be a main goal of MapleStory?
Picking your favorite character and seeing it grow through 4th job and Hyper Skills is an enjoyable experience.
However, more than half of players are unable to reach 4th job.
Therefore we have made it easier for you to level up to 100 and anyone can do this by playing for a week!

In order to make it easier for players to get to level 100 easily, we plan to revamp level up guide.
It will be more detailed and easily followable, even by new players.
Of course, you can make your own route to level up.

Also, we are aware that levels do not give you instant feel of becoming stronger.
Therefore we have given more gap of strength between levels.

Enhancing item and becoming stronger is an essential part of an MMORPG.
We have deduced that it is too complex and hard for users to enhance their equipments.
Therefore we plan to have reduced instances of your items being destroyed upon failure.

For more easily-understandable enhancement system, we have changed scrolling system.
On this update, we have combined all scrolls into a few scrolls to give different attributes upon scolling.
Of course, your existing scrolls will still be usable and its value in-game will NOT decrease.
And we are planning to balance various ways of enhancing an equipment, so stay tuned.

This winter (in Korea) will be our time to unveil our 6th Hero, Silver Moon.

Silver Moon is a character that embraces sadness.
Silver Moon has sacrificed herself to protect Maple World at last minute during battle with the Black Mage.
In return, its existance has been forgotten from the Maple World.

For the first time, animal-based race called Anima will appear.
Fox-like characteristics such as fox ears, tail and instincts...
A character who is an Anima called Rangi will be fighting alongside of Silver Moon.
(What about Kanna?)

The hometown of Silver Moon is an Asian country town that has round edge map for the first time.
Also it is designed to give 3D feel to the players.

New Dungeon Content!
To give new experience to players, we have made a dungeon content that cannot be cleared just with damage.
You will need strategy, knowledge and experience.
It will be easy to start, but players will have to challenge themselves in order to clear the dungeon.
