Okay, lets this story started.
First off, if you did the Ellin forest quests, you will know that Kyrin's mother was pregnant when the Black Mage Struck. This is probably why no pirates were part of the battle. Then following that, during the opening of the Aran storyline, Athena was gathering people to board the ship and flee to Victoria. My guess is that Kyrin's mom was also on that ship. After she bore Kyrin, Kyrin then took on the role of a pirate and eliminated the remains of the Black mage's army (Since the heroes sealed up the Black Mage) While Kyrin gathered a crew and set aboard, Athena and others were on victoria island training Explorers until Kyrin returned. (Which then prompted the release of the Pirate class.)

You get Angelic Burster, the most OP thing ever.

Oh boy hehre we go again. It's not that pirates never existed, nor did they always exist. Pirates were still developing a few years after the Black Mage was done with. And exactly how, in the right mind, could a pirate SEAL the Black Mage? Pirates don't use magic. DING DING DING. MAGIC. SEAL. MAGIC. MAGE. End of story.

There are only two pirates around Black Mage time. But none of them are strong enough to even take on one of the Commanders, let alone Black Mage himself. So we have no pirate hero, can people stop making dumb thread about this ? It makes me feel like 90% of GMS fandom are clueless about this.

The five heros tried to kill the black mage, but a pirate KS'd them.

did nexon say there were only 5 heros think about the next time they seal the black mage again the original 5 heros have grown weak and need and need another 5heros to help =D

The M.A.P.L.E. characters are the 5 heroes of the [b]present[/b] timeline.

Even though there's already too many classes, I still reckon they'll introduce S.T.O.R.Y. characters perhaps as heroes of the past

What's the big deal anyway? Nexon never said they would be making a hero for every adventurer type, yet everyones raging as though they were betrayed or something. You guys need to get over the fact that all your assumptions were incorrect and just accept the route Nexon decide to take with [b]THEIR[/b] story.

@Miauri: -bigger facepalm- The story about the Heroes didn't, but the story about the Black Mage did. It sneaked in with Pirates. If you did some quests on the Nautilus, you would know about how Kyrin's dad set sail to fight against the Black Mage, and he left her the Nautilus, but he was never heard from again.

Not sure if the Black Mage was mentioned before Pirates though

I don't care about the storyline, just make the game fun, Nexon.

Well the only reason that i can think for not having a pirate hero, is because Kyrin's Dad die ¡Attention maplers!, he was a pirate not a mage so no he can't have a succesor because he couldn't teach someone his skills, kyrin's mother is a fairy (reason why she has more than 100 years).

@Pendant Well aren't you nice.... people care about the pirate class, hell I don't play pirates but I still want to see them buffed. It seems like adventurer's keep getting more disadvantages with every new class that comes out and it's starting to kinda piss me off

Evan has Freuds dragons spirit, which was used to fight the black mage, You know.. Like in the Mercedes trailer. He was kind of there with her.

OT: I dont know about anyone else, but I had a feeling there was not going to be a pirate hero. Here is Nexon releasing the Cannoner which was a unique Pirate/adventurer class, now they released Jett (and the Dragon Warrior on other servers) which is another pirate class. It is Nexons always horrible way to compensate for things.
