You can get them anywhere. They aren't rare. People are just lazy to do any farming. I don't think many people do alchemist as there profession. Most people either don't craft or choose smithing for cubes. So since hardly anyone farms then the item would be rarer than others.

It's not that hard. It's only expensive bc no one really farms for it. So that is why it's a "rare" item.

In my time of playing this game, I've only gotten 3 of them, 2 of them were from herb patch in Ardentmil. Basic patch.
Was tired of not having a pocket item all this time, went to ardentmill about twice, and the second to last herb gave me a rose clipping.
This was 2 tickets (10 minutes each), and I gathered 500 insight worth of herbs.
Haven't gotten it from gathering outside of Ardent though.

yeah I'm surprised people say they're worth like 30 - 50m. I have like 15 from just doing the 1,000 meso herb grind each day
Do drop familiars affect it?
