Lifters/ Gym Buffs/ I got a question

Hello gym junkies, I want to start lifting seriously and I have a question on protein shakes/ supplements.

Can anyone recommend me a specific list of supplements that I should use and when I should consume them?
From quick research, I came up with:

Pre workout:
Optimum 100% Whey protein powder
Multivitamin (or fruit)
BCAA

Post workout:
Another dose of whey protein powder
Carbs
Multivitamin (or fruit)

Basically, can someone educate me on what I should take to build mass? (I'm skinny so getting fat isn't an issue here)

Tilapia + Rice + protein shakes is all you will ever need unless you're trying to get really big. I doubt that's your goal, so just stick with that. SS is about as a starting program as you can get so stick to it. Finally got the chance to check out what I needed to do and research for a good program, so definitely can back SS. Started a week ago and already I'm starting to like the results. Spend a day reading about proper form for ea/ exercise. Getting technique down is the only "supplement" that's worth it.

@DrRimming6:

dumbbell jerk, power cleans, squat jumps, pullups

@DrRimming6:

Yeah, well, no more than 5 reps. I tend to go: warmup, 5,5,5,3,1 reps, i.e. build up to one big lift with 3min rests between each of the last 3 sets.

Seriously people, when has the whole "multivitamin is a must" for lifting, let alone general health become so widespread?

@DrRimming6:

Most commonly strength/explosiveness is associated with low repetition, high weight compound exercises.

Thank you SO much everyone!
By skinny, I meant 143 pound, 17 years old. Not extremely skinny but I'm still a twig.

Is it okay to eat lunch (whole food - sandwich) right after a workout? My lunch period is right after my workout... -_-

Just as a side note, unless you have a poor nutrition intake, multivitamins will not benefit you in any way, shape or form.

You've started a 5x5 Starting Strength or similar routine which is good
If you're skinny all you really need is a protein/carb mix to help you get your caloric levels up, perhaps also fish oil.

@qtprincessxoxo

Ironically, today was my first day of SS 5x5! Wish me luck

If supplements aren't that important (for beginners I'm assuming) , will it be sufficient enough to just go with a protein shake and ignore everything else?

Start slow, don't push it all into one. Do protein shakes, those help. Or drink milk really.

Start bench pressing and increasing your weight every time.

Whey protein and a good diet will build mass. Of course, a diet is more important than whey protein, so focus on getting loads of calories before getting your dosage of whey protein.
