Name your favorite pokemontype of pokemon please
I'm selling art at the AX convention next summer and want to draw up some pokemon prints.
So in preparation I'd like to know some of the fan-favourites!
Some ideas I had include:
*eevee + its evolutions
*a print full of a certain type of pokemon [I need to figure out which types are most popular >_>]
*legendaries?
So..yeah, post awayyyy. Thanks!

fire pokemon, especially cyndaquil!
Just a suggestion:
Do a piece of artwork that consists of all the same elemental type of the starter pokemon through the generations. To add a bit more indepth 'thinking outside the box', give the older pokemon (Ex. Squirtle, Totodile) a more vintage, or older look and as you go from old to new, give it a more modern look.
I think pairs or trips of popular evolutions would be cool (abra - alakazam, the squirtle - blastoise, etc) and maybe the different starters of each gen or all 5 of each starter type (mudkip, squirtle, totodile, etc.).
The legendary trio of each gen would be interesting or the legendary pairs (latias latios, raikou entei and suicuine, etc.)
yea the starters, pikachu, jigglypuff, and eevee evos are common.
do something like ninetails, sandslash, magnemite, dodrio, exeggutor, rhydon, dugong, cloyster, meowth, weezing, slowbro, starmie, hypno, kabutops, kingler, magikarp, tauros, hitmonchan, lickitung, scizor, murkrow, houndoom, wobbafet, marill, corsola, sneasel, heracross, misdreavus, zangoose, corpish
everyone knows these but its not really common
if you wanna do a theme like prehistoric pokemon or underwater pokemon you can do that
Yeah, people generally do eevees, starters, and pokemon used by trainers in the anime. A print featuring all of the legendaries would be awesome if you can manage it. Same with the types, squeezing in as many of them as possible. Also, some of the interesting Pokemon-related things I noticed from some of the booths this year included commissions. Commissions for a Pokemon of the person's choice are always popular, but there was also a table that drew you a trainer + any 6 pokemon you want, and another one that did gijinka of the requester based on what pokemon they wanted to be. If you're good with drawing on the spot, I'd suggest commissions.
For reference, what artist name will you be registered as?
My friends that table have told me to definitely do on-the-spot commissions because they bring in a decent amount of money. Would you recommend selling gijinka prints?
Oh I never considered the starters tbh...do people like purchasing prints with the human trainers included?
Haha pokemon designs are fairly simple so legendaries aren't very hard, but there are so many now so I kind of want to be a little bit picky.
Thank you so much for telling me about the other booths, I went to the AX con this summer but spent more time visiting my friends' booths and I'm not much of a fandom artist tbh.
My username on deviantart is pochi-chan so I will be going by that name! [but I registered with my real name, oops LOL]
Thank you for the suggestions everyone, keep them coming!
