Me and my friend played D2 last year, we both downloaded it from a torrent site might think about replaying it . Still have it sitting in my downloads folder and I'm using windows 7 woot woot.

I just finished installing the game. If my characters were in Easy, I will start again in US West. Hopefully one of you joins me

I still play diablo 2 single player occasionally. I was super hyped for diablo 3 but when it came out I didn't like it so I didn't buy it.

Ya, that skill system with the runes is just horrible. I doubt I'll play D3 that much, D2 is just amazing.. storyline and gameplay-wise. @sidleyhatesyou and @WinterWish : I will be installing D2 later today. I can't remember what server I was in (US West or East, one of those)... I didn't know maphack was detectable anymore though? I used it for a while and didn't get banned lol

D3 was alright. No end game. I never approved of their skill system.

Skill tree systems gives replayability and D3 threw that out the window when they implemented the new skill system.

Last time I played d2 I had a CRAZY good pve javazon LOL but I got banned for using a map hack.. so lame

I don't suggest playing d3 because the game isn't good at all and really no one important plays it ahah.. it just isn't a good game... I have a WW barb and seriously just rip through anything and isn't fun...

I played Diablo 2 off and on for years but not any time recently. I have not tried the third game yet and I might some day.

Ohh right. Yeah, if you don't play your characters for 90 days or more, then someone else can create a character with that name and your character gets deleted.

I will be installing D2 and D3 tomorrow probably like I mentioned in the OP... I'll add you when I have the games. As for buying stuff from you, I doubt that. I'm poor

@uLtimatefx: If I remember correctly the characters "expire" and are able to be recovered unless your character's name was taken or something. But if your account is deleted, then you're screwed. You also mentioned the ladder so assuming you play ladder, it gets reset every six months. The last reset was November 2012, so the next one should be this month and maybe it already has, but you'd only be days late.

@OT: I don't play Diablo 2 anymore since I'm too lazy and played ladder. Sadly my friend got me back into Diablo 3 a week ago after quitting 4 months ago. The patches following Jay Wilson's leave from Diablo 3 are promising and finally addressed a few of the things I mostly hated about the game, so I will start playing a bit more so I don't fall to behind in gear anf I can still make U.S. dollars off gems I hoarded before I quit.

TL;DR: I came back to D3 a week ago after quitting 4 months ago. Last few patches makes D3 look more promising. Bote that D2 took it's sweet time becoming a great game as well. D3 is great, but just sucks end game.

Btw, I stopped playing D3 after the paragon levels came out... Are there uber runs in D3? wut

Diablo 3 looks fun. too bad I don't wanna learn a new game or have time.

After that it should take longer than three months(I don't know how long). I didn't log on my Starcraft/Diablo2 account for a year and a half and it's still there, but some of my friends accounts got deleted. My account is about ten years old, so maybe after a long period of time it's permanent.
