@uphailure: Personally my top favorite indie bands have always been Ra Ra Riot, The Shins, Letting Up Despite Great Faults(especially their 2009 album), Dashboard confessional(albums released in 2003 & older), Silversun Pickups (everything they've released I've loved), Cults, Wild Beasts, and Equals
all of these artists are easily found on spotify if you're not sure whether to buy the tracks/albums or not
in addition to @Liam 's recommendation, The Islands by the XX is super addicting
I like your taste in music. RaRa Riot, Silver Sun, The Shins. All great.
@SensuaLobster: Yeah I just heard Islands by The XX and now I'm gonna get their music. <3
Thanks guys for the suggestions by the way!
Haha I don't actually know that much about indie music apart from it being awesome. Newbie right here lol.
@caben45: I /SWEAR/ I knew someone was gonna mention Skrillex.
The XX is amazing. Highly recommend. I like their "Heart Skipped a Beat" song.
I'm surprised you didn't mention The Strokes. And not because of Guitar Hero -__-
"I Heard it on the Radio" by The Bird and the Bee.
"Combat Baby" by Metric.
