Yes, I would be upset if all duped gear was 1 meso in this game. Funding a character is part of the challenge of this game. If the game was that easy, a significant amount of people would find it harder to find the motivation to continue playing the game. Put yourself in someone's else's shoes. If someone spent months and hours trying to get the best gear as possible, wouldn't it upset you if someone was releasing perfected equips were put on the market for 1 meso? Especially if the equips were known to be illegitimately obtained?
The problem with your statement is you're basing an argument off how YOU feel and not viewing how the rest of the community feels when things like this happen. Everyone has a different way/style in playing this game.A person getting the intrinsic feeling of the word "fun" from this game is not obtained the same way across the board.

Glad to see someone else that plays the game to enjoy, not to make a minor profit.. I don't understand the people who play for hours on hours to make a few bil then sell it for like 20$ illegally lol. If you consider the time value of money they lose so much! They could just work a single shift to make all the same money legitly. It's a game to play and enjoy, not a job or a lifestyle!

Ok what is there past gear in this game?

If ALL the gear was 1 meso, and you could have 2m-2m range for 1 meso, would you be upset?
Past gear the only thing you need meso for is the taxi and pots.

Personally if it is just going to be super enhanced gear up for grabs for 1 meso....I wouldn't care

Nothing about this affects me, a dude just playing the game, to have fun. All the people who play Maple Market will be upset

It is very sad and concerns me sometimes when I watch that happen; however, we don't really have a say how a person should manage their money. That's just kind of life. :S

eh, sure it is. I'd be mad if someone told said the same thing to a game I enjoyed playing. I just don't get how people can throw so MUCH money at a company that has shown countless times that they are unable to fix things. it's just sad, the state of the game, the extent to which these hackers and exploiters go as well as the people who put their lives into the game

I know which site this person is referring to, and I do know that there were a handful of people who almost destroyed the game at one point. Even though Nexon has made the error of neglecting mass dupes in the past, they currently take it seriously because it causes severe damage to the market. NX cash becomes worthless, and perfected duped gears will start being the standard.
As of lately, duping has been occuring under a lot of people's eyes, but Nexon has been trying to keep that from getting out of control like it has in the past (i.e. duping crisis of 2010 with the cravens and vss). Meso farming has been going on for over 10 years in this game and will never cease to exists. Ever since I was a beta player, gold farming websites always had their mules spamming meso prices. So what does farming mesos have to do with the cause of this game crashing? Farmers get banned, duping gets banned/hellbanned, and exploits get patched. It's a vicious cycle that's been going on for years.
The problem with the author's claims is that Nexon already know/how to react in potential dupe crising/meso exploit phases - reason they want to stay cognizant on the activity of these exploits because they do not want to rollback the server. If you think a rollback isn't bad at all, open your eyes just a little.

Someone's just trying to scare people into selling stuff for usd so that they can get them banned. At least 7-8 people in Khroa have been perma banned for usd sales in the last 2 months.

i just want this game die already.

Because they want money? They've always been trying to sell what they make asap because they never know if/when the bank accounts could get banned and lose on potential revenue.

Why do you think so many big names in the underground are tryna sell their mesos right now? When the items and meso farming methods are introduced to market, its gonna be a shock to prices. Nexon is in big trouble also since they can't roll back this (ppl have been using this method and farming mesos for over a year, theres too many mules just full of broken gear atm).

The cost value of tyrant gloves should be going upwards I believe. People can hardly get the dojo gloves anymore.
