Not sure if anyone answered but NLC monsters now drop plenty of old collectibles.
Oh and awhile ago they were selling the Permanent Dual Blade set (along with the dagger and katara too)

I can confirm this, just got a pair of luminuous dagger/katara set a few hours ago from jesters
scarecrows have a better chance of dropping the dagger imo

For a while but i grew tored of it very soon and i anviled it back.

I'm pretty sure you don't need to do the quest line, you just talk to the npc to take you there, then find the shop guy who sells it (his name was Tetsu iirc), it's 15m though and you can only buy it once.

Are you referring to [url=http://www.hidden-street.net/gms/equipment/weapon/dagger/fan]this fan[/url] ? It's not the Sakura questline ninja castle, it's the original ninja castle in Zipangu (mushroom shrine).

Talk to [url=http://www.hidden-street.net/gms/npc/palanquin]this NPC[/url] to take you there, then one of the shops there should sell one

Speaking of anviling, i'm trying to anvil my pescas into the circular fan dagger, but I can't seem to find one... I was told to do the sakura castle quest [lvl 70 or something] and I completed it, but the merchant still isn't selling the fans/flaming katanas.
