30 for a haircut that you know will come out great or?

$13 for a place that is known to mess up haircuts.

Should I take a chance and save that 17 dollars?
Or spend the extra 17 to guarantee a great haircut.

Edit: These are the only 2 places nearby where I live.

Other places are a freeway drive away.
The place I usually go to closed down due to the family leaving the state.

@Updated: Idk. If I wanted a bowl cut, I could do it myself. Everybody has a bowl and scissors.

Either way, fit me.
Think about it.

Tight on money = take the bad haircut and deal with it.
Extremely rich or you really need to go somewhere fancy = go get that good haircut.

If you really care a lot about your appearance, then the $30 may seem worth it to you. $30, in my opinion, is too much of a ripoff. However, I don't want a hair disaster nor a bowl cut.
Careful, you don't want @BowlCut to come for you
So you think you're just as good as a barber that went to school just for cutting hair?
Definitely not but I cut close enough that other people aren't able to notice the difference. Occasionally people even ask me where I go to cut my hair and when I tell them I do it myself they're shocked. Barber have better equipment so the edge up is going to look sharper and they do designs which is something I don't do but if you're looking for a taper, buzz cut, trim or shape up like most people then doing it yourself will get you very close results for no cost at all. I'm talking about male hair only though, I would not attempt to cut a females hair.
Yes, 2 mirrors and it's true you have to get close but really cutting your hair is just like anything else, once you've practised enough you get good at it. It sounds hard looking out from the inside but when you finally do it you realize how easy it is. I'm confidently enough to cut my friends hair and get paid doing so lol

Using 2 mirrors? You have to get up and close to see how much to cut. The only way is if someone is holding the mirror right behind your head

How the hell do you cut your own hair? How do you cut the back of your head? You can't look at it and cut at the same time
Two mirrors
Learn to cut your own hair and save infinite amount of money, that's what I do. If that place is known for messing up hair then I don't know why you'd pay money for the chance of something to go wrong when you can have the same chance by doing it yourself with the only difference being you have saved $17. Now if you are looking to do something fancy or have long hair then just spend the $30 to look good.
