Need help deciding
So on shadower, Do i want to stay shield or should i go their alternative secondary weapon? Eventually i'll be max defense anyways so the shield mastery defense buff will be irelevant, the 20% avoid is okay but due to shadow shifter and meso guard its semi irelevant. so that leaves the 15 attack bonus. is there a difference between the potentials the shield gives and the secondary gives? if not ill stay shield but if so i will go to secondary.

Even if you only got the lv80 shield, it would still be better than the other choice.
Both can obtain the same potentials
Both can reap the benefits of Shield Mastery
Secondary is easier to obtain, but can't be upgraded
Shield is harder to obtain, but can be upgraded
Scroll it with Shield for ATT scrolls.
Im just going to ICOG it or Cog it tbh.
@AshleyAttacked: oh, I know haha, but it is seriously one of the biggest wastes to a dkhan to slap spell traces on it, since it falls under the "armor" category, and you can only get low stat, and no attack (except for the +1 for 4 passed enhancements)

For some people the difference between spell trace and using an ICOG isn't just not worth the price difference...it's simply not possible for them for whatever reason.

Scroll it with primes. Use a guardian scroll and buy prot scrolls around fm. If you fail a slot use 10% clean slate scrolls on it till you get all the slots back.
If you wanna do it cheap just use starforce and select the 70% option. If you fail use the 10% clean slate scrolls until you get the slot back...do this until you've scrolled it perfectly. This second way shouldn't be all that expensive.

Shield are also able to get weapon potentials now.
Try to get your hands on a (dragon) khanjar I'd say.
I'm pretty sure that every item classified in game as a secondary weapon draws from the exact same pool of possible potential lines.
