How many of you guys are old players? Nostalgia

I'm talking way way back. You can just say you are lol, back it up with proof. I remember when I had to wear a green apple suit during tutorial and having to roll for stats. The best memory is probably HHG1 where 4th job Mages would always spam their ultimates. Those were the days! <3

I remember the hay bales outside of henessy, and the op legit cool kids would hang out there. also there was this ladder at the top of the map, and the only way to get onto the platform without getting teleported somewhere else was to hold a pet food which you assigned it to a key, and climb the ladder.

only the kool kids got up there.

edit: @BobR DUDE OMG SAME HERE.
i feel so good someone remembers that.

I believe I joined at the end of 2007. It wasn't that far back, but it was right when 4th job came out. The advertisement when you closed Maplestory showed a pink teddy (or was it a panda teddy?) saying fourth job! and the slimes had christmas hats on. There were also fake bosses like king slime (with a christmas hat!) that dropped cakes when you killed them. The red envelope event gave me my first 100k

Just before the second Maple Anniversary, right around the time Bellocan came out, way before the Apple Suit.
It took like a week or two to get through Maple Island and the hardest part was killing the damn Orange Mushrooms.
Thank god for the Green Relaxer to get your HP back after a battle.

@zane3341 I started maple back in 2006. But the problem with people's "proof" for why they're an old player is that they can see someone else say it and then use it the next time a thread like this comes up. Wish I remember what I did with my screens from back then, but the oldest screen I have now is this of my old Night Walker at Gallos, back when Cygnus Knights first came out, which would make the SS from '09.

One of my favorite memories was getting killed by C-rogs, robos, and trojans at Kerning City PQ XD. Stupid summoning bags...

Making characters with the rolling dice. I remember spending a good 10 minutes trying to get 10+ luk on my roll for a thief.
Slime tree, panlids, HHG1,
Kerning Pq tracking. Those were the days.

I played back when being level 50 was equivalent to being level 200 today.
Even though being level 50 was more of an accomplishment. I'm talking Pre-Pirate.

Started in 2006 here. I think most of us remember the Slime tree and The land of the Wild boar and many older maps before they got removed. The exp there was the best

I remember when just getting to second job was a big accomplishment for me, now they basically hand over second job for most classes.

I started playing when Broa just came out. The beginning was the most fun ive had in a game i think, haha. I couldnt find the way off of maple island and i wondered around victoria till like level 14 until someone told me i can become something other than a beginner. My stats were all over the place, so i became a bowman at level 16 or something.

All I remember is when 0.01% exp per kill was considered fast.

I played since 2005, I remember back then Perion ch1 was the FM. The game has changed a lot since then. There were only 3 warrior classes back then, now there are 11 warrior classes today.

maple island was a pain for me cuz i was gonna be a mage and put all in int so it took forever to kill slimes and mushrooms for mai
also, ludi was a big big big deal esp the pq. el nath/orbis/ludi was like uncharted territory.

It's not so much nostalgia anymore when you see nostalgia threads about the same thing over and over again...
