Is cigarette smoking down?

I don't know if it's just my environment but it's been a big difference since 5 years ago. I rarely seen anyone light up a cigarette in public, probably havent seen a person smoke in like 3 years. 5 years ago I would walk up to the park and see littered used cigarettes now I don't see any. Also the public ash trays are empty. Is it just where I live or do you guys notice it too?

a lot of people I go to school with are using boofs... or ecigs (mods specifically) now, instead of cigarettes. Not that many though.

Everyone smokes weed though

It definitely depends on your location. Here in Ontario there are anti-smoking things everywhere and yet people still smoke. At least it's not as bad as Europe where you can smoke everywhere.. Or at least that was my experience back in Romania.

Literally nobody at my high school smokes cigarettes.
Pot, on the other hand...that's the big thing right now for high schoolers, especially here in Colorado.

Lately I've seen a lot more people vaping e-liquids in lieu of traditional smoking. I'm all for it; they smell great

There's usually smoke wafting out of the boys bathroom at school whenever I pass by them

depends on where you live. at my community college, its not that rare to see people smoking in the parking lot area since smoking where the buildings are at is against the rules.

There are going to be a lot less new smokers, atleast I think there should be, because its drilled into your head really hard that you shouldn't smoke. Almost to the point where they don't spend time talking about other drugs, and people end up doing illegal drugs...

definitely where you live
even tho bloomberg babysat NY's smoking law the past few years, there's a 1-3% increase in tobacco sales

Where are you located?

I for one don't think smoking has died out. In fact, my father smokes every single day, and it pisses me off.

I think that smoking has been declining for quite some time. But there are still people who smoke absolutely everywhere.

It definitely has something to do with location
Though I'm pretty sure the proportion of the US population that smokes has been decreasing for a few decades now

All the people who smoke have died off. Only reasonable explanation. That, or Aliens.
