pros vs cons of looking older than you really are

So for November I let my facial hair grow out (no shave november) and I couldn't help but feel older, you know?. And i didn't just feel older, a lot of people at school said i looked around 4 or 5 years older than i actually was. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it seems like when you look older people treat you a lot differently. (in comparison with how old that person is)

so pros vs cons of looking older than you actually are?

my friend and I both have brothers 7 years younger than ourselves (they're both 13, and we're both 20). she's been mistaken for his mother....and someone wasn't sure whether i or my brother was older ~.~ and my other friend, when she was 21, someone thought she was her lil sister's mom (she was 11).

OT:
pro: people take you seriously
con: people take you seriously[/quote]

Ain't that the realest thing.

Personally I think looking younger is better (when you're in your 20s+); however, looking older (at a younger age) does give you more advantages. Like someone said above, people don't like seeing age. I'm a senior and apparently I didn't mature that well physically. People think I'm 14-15ish even though I'm 17

i dont know since people usually say i look young. except when im tired and looking like a mess.

@ZombieOverlord i know that feeling. back when my younger brother was still a baby when i was in high school, people would tell me "awww what a cute baby. you're so lucky" whenever i carried him.
