Is it just me or.
Is it just me, or...do people who use "lmao" a lot, or any abbreviations with a cuss word in it, come off as really rude to you? I'm used to people swearing 24/7, but on the internet, when they add a "lmao" to their comments, I just feel immense dislike towards them, even though I know that most of the time it's just habit for them or they don't really mean it in an offensive way. I mean..why not just use "lol", which is simpler and shorter?

If they use "lmao" when something isn't really that funny or if they overuse it generally, I just find them kinda stupid. It annoys me a little, but I don't dwell on it.
You are really goddamn weird.
i say its fine and people think im a rood mofo
yup it's just you. it's generally not used offensively so you can stop finding it offensive
Feel free to use the more lighthearted "lmbo" instead.
ok I guess it's just me
I actually haven't seen someone use "lmao", "lmfao", etc in a while. I don't think you should take offense since it's just an "expression" and most of the time people aren't even laughing in real life when they use it. The same goes for "lol". I guess "lmao" is just a stronger version of "lol".
@Thiefy996 "hahaha" is just as meaningless as "lol" though. Since emotion can't be portrayed through text (in maple at least, no italics, bold, etc). They both convey the same meaning, "laughing"
"lmao" is a powerful term used to describe what "lol" cannot. while "lol" is effective at depicting loud and explosive laughter and is perfect for everyday use, it does not offer an impact similar to that of "lmao." "lmao" is commonly utilized to depict a laugh so loud, so intense, and so powerful that it transcends even the holy extraordinarily deep (xD) laughter of the gods themselves. this sort of laughter is very demanding on the human body, and usually results in the removal of both of the buttocks. therefore, it is necessary that "lmao" be used on such occasions instead of "lol."
I only use "LOL" or "haha" when I text -- and that's only when I text guys. If I text girls, I don't say any of that. But in real life, I curse a lot.
Anyway, I feel like "lmfao" and "lmao" convey a more intense laugh than just "lol." Capitalization also has this effect. I'm sure everyone else feels the way I do.
well, I dont even know half of what that means, sooooo o.o
