Yea there are good games. That is, if I'll ever get them for free!
I've played Phoenix Wight and it was not a good experience for me. My HTC made the game lag like crap for some reason. I could've tried it on my iPad but I didn't bother.
I remember playing Animal Crossing for hours on DS. Same with Mario Kart. Those were some of my favourite DS games and I like them better than Super Mario Bros. I don't think I'll enjoy it as much if I were to play them on mobile devices. Also, I don't like the idea of playing HD graphic games on such small screen. I can just imagine the lag right now. Plus, I'd rather have amazing graphics for a console game. Especially RPG or stealth games. But yes, I think FF would be great as mobile games. But they probably aint gon b free.

Hearthstone is a card game and the experience isn't very different from playing on PC. Not rly my type of game, anyways. P&D got extremely boring as I kept playing.

I did like Cytus though it's not completely free, obviously. It's a neat game to have. But it's not an addictive game for me.
I wasted a lot of time playing Restaurant Story. I actually thought the game isn't all that bad. I learned about a lot of different types of food. I was like, wtf is a tartare, ceviche, minestrone soup, and yakisoba dog? But now I know.
I thought Lost Winds is an amazing game and I loved it but it's super short and only took me like 4 hrs to finish the game, pretty much. I got it for free but now it's 2.99 or something on iStore. I loved the scenery and the animation in the game. Even the music was outstanding. But 3D platform games generally don't disappoint, anyways.

Other than these games, idk anymore.

A lot of developers are actually starting to push out full console-quality games for mobile. Square Enix has every Final Fantasy up to 6, they have War of the Lions, they have TWEWY. You can have Ghost Trick, Phoenix Wright. On the other side of the pond, the Infinity Blade trilogy has been wrapped up, and you can actually find a lot of Telltale games too (Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us). I really enjoy Boom Beach. Only game I play now

Crusaders quest and zenonia are pretty much the only.mobile games I enjoyed playing longer than a week

Anything made by Zynga is pretty good

I've played a lot of mobile/tablet/iTouch games. 99% of the games that are out are boring af. To my experience, at least. And if I wanna play a DS game, I'd play it on a DS. Jus sayin.

Candy crush, farm heroes, and all the facebook saga game are fun and challenging

Try peggle, it gets easy at first then hell after level 45 or so

Fallout Shelter, good time killer.
