Wow this thread made me want to quit maple even more

Would I pay a monthly fee for this game? Definitely a great big "NO."

Strongly depends. If I were new to maple, no.
If they were to NOW make us a monthly fee and it won't go beyond 10 Euros/Month and NX Cash would be either free or SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper ...then yes.

All I do now is do my daily Gollux run & level-up my traits...I sure as hell ain't paying a monthly fee to do just that.

Nexon is already taking peoples money through their cubing system, hammering, scissoring & other crap that could have been implemented for free.

well not maplestory(since I barely have any interest left),but I really don't mind if Maplestory 2 goes pay to play,it would fix alot of problem maplestory have currently.

Soo at this rate, assuming that this could somehow be on the lines of the whole population, 13% would pay everyone else would quit. Current pop is almost 25k accounts atm so lets assume that the GMS has like 4 prime time zones then take one off for mules 75k people might be playing maple? 13% of 75k = 9.75k people with $5-$15 monthly payments = $48.75k-$146.25k per month... I don't think maple would live at this rate. $585k-$1,755k per year.

no. people who spend hundreds on MS probably won't mind paying a subscription fee, but i am not one of those people.
i'm already losing interest in MS anyway. if they make me pay to play, that's just going to be the nail on the coffin

Though I'd pay less than I do currently (by a lot), I still wouldn't do it.

^This, if everything in CS (especially hyper tele rocks, perm 2nd pendant slot, pets/pet equips, royals, and cubes for me) was obtainable by mesos, I wouldn't mind paying like 5$ a month.

Nexon should charge monthly, but the whole cash shop should be meso obtainable. that would be good.

each year, theres less peoples that plays p2p games.
and now most p2p game are getting f2p.
take for example TF2, dungeon and dragon online, RIFT, even WoW is partialy f2p (up to lvl 20)
nx has no reason to make the game p2p since they will get less money out of it.

but to answer your question, yes i will still play maple if it was p2p

Uh WoW is 15$ per month so I'm guessing Nexon would be somewhere along the lines of that or maybe a little bit cheaper? I'm not sure, it would ultimately be up to Nexon and we all know how greedy they can be.

If it wasn't so revolved around damage and all that non-sense, then $10 a month is a small fee to pay for a better gameplay. I hardly play now because of the reason

That depends. If they made cubes a more common drop (or made them easier to access) then yes. Because to some extent everyone buys NX, be it through mesos, or through money.
