Differences between high and middle school classes?

What are the main differences, both academically (how much work you get, what types of assignments you get, etc.) and socially (whether there are multiple grades in the class, if it's more interactive, etc.), between high school and middle school classes?

A huge difference for me.
Since I went from a zoned school, to the best school in my state.
Dang what kind of school did you go to? One student in my senior year got caught selling the answers off a midterm that he stole from the teacher and he was expelled/had his college apps all rejected and it was a big scandal. He was a smart guy too, I think he was just really bitter and sort of decided 'idgaf I'm gonna do whatever'. My school cracked down on people who cheated on tests. Homework wasn't as big a deal, but middle school was definitely more lenient in terms of that sort of thing.
I've been told it's the second worst school in the city. Not sure if that's accurate or not, since I didn't attend any other high schools.
My school was crap. People would literally take photos of their answers on tests, and pass around their phones to other people DURING THE TEST. Teachers usually reused tests each year and semester, so people would get photos/scans from older students, and they could get all the answers before they even had to write the test. Etc

Edit: For one class, it was a test like on the computer, and some kid freaking livestreamed his test

Edit 2: It was hilarious if there were ever classes where teachers were making up new tests, and when they were like short-answer questions. So many 0%s in that class.

Im curious on how they were able to cheat on tests all 4 years.
My highschool tests were worth 90% of my grades.
Pretty sure you when you write tests everyone has to write it separately.
@ApplesAreOkay: I never studied and did just fine...besides like Flexy said, people cheat.
My high school was actually pretty good compared to the other public schools in my area.
I just have that good memory :]
There should be a huge academic difference unless your school is ez mode.
Middle school - no studying required. Everybody graduates.
Highschool - studying required. Still most people graduate but differences in marks will affect your future.

And for social differences
Same cliques but bigger.
Don't remember all that well, since it was quite a few years ago.

School will probably be bigger, for one. The snotty kids will get even worse. School will become a lot more "clique-based".

It depends on your teachers and the class. If you are taking an AP class, expect a poop ton of work, like you just clogged the toilet amount of work.
