just stalk someone and tell them "I was paid by one of your friends to stalk you". they get curious who it is and talk back. give it about 2-3mins and then just tell them you were bored and looking for someone to talk to.
You can just go around and join conversations in hene or be hyper and help people with their questions or even ask them questions you may have. Be funny and creative it'll get them to enjoy being around with you and oh one last thing: stalk them when you are free because it helps increase your time with them and the friendship C: --a message from a stalker
Pick a target and start asking them about their maple history. When did they start, what did they main, nostalgia etc. At least you know for sure that you got MS in common so why not start there. The rest is really up to personal chemistry.
In MapleStory? I would suggest requesting members for unpopular PQs and sending a buddy invite to those that stay for multiple runs to get the reward or codex card. Though that is based on my interests. Party members in PQs like R&J are more disposable as I believe the main objective is just to grind with little interaction/conversation. You could also also join a guild, introduce yourself, and then ask if anyone want to tag along or help with bosses/PQs/quests/etc.
