"I will go ahead and say here that we are currently in the works with world merges at this time. We have no time frame as to their completion, and we have no details to announce at the moment, but they will be happening."
You missed ONE post linking to a thread on the "official" Maplestory forums where Community Manager Artasi said they're still considering more server merges, but they have NO current plans to do it any time soon.
Any other things you've heard about it are either speculation or trolling.
Artasi confirmed on the official forums that Nexon is trying to merge servers. But he also said that they don't have a date yet because a lot of work needs to be done first behind the scenes
