[header]IMPORTANT UPDATE:[/header]
Since I've only been able to update this thread in the morning the past couple of days (I haven't been home during the afternoon and at nighttime.), I decided to extend the nomination thread until Sunday morning. At that time, I will lock this thread, and will release the voting thread on the 3rd.
Remember, the nominees only need a specific amount to move onto the voting process... The amount needed is not the same for all categories though. I've received plenty of nominations for many categories, and so I'm planning to close off the majority of them since I already have enough nominations. I'm only going to leave some categories left because I need more nominations for them... The categories that are now shown are either: 1. Not getting enough nominations, 2. Getting way too many nominations, but not a lot of the same ones. Thanks
[b]Another important note:[/b] For category #4 (good looking Basiler), I'm going to PM the ones who have made it to the voting thread for a recent picture of themselves. If I don't get a picture, that person will be removed from the category ._.

Nomination thread: December 26th - January 2nd.
Voting thread: January 3rd - January 7th.
Basilmarket Awards thread: January 9th.

- No limit to how many Basilers you nominate... But don't go overboard!
- You may send me messages of your nominees if you don't want it public.
- Do not nominate more than once on different pages. (I will know if you do)

- If you have any additional categories, feel free to leave a comment and I will consider it.
- If you edited any of your previous posts, please let me know.

That's the entire point of this. An Awards thread isn't an Awards thread if unknown Basilers are chosen... Because there wouldn't be a point if they won something and no one knows that person. People are chosen for a reason and it's because they are recognized for whatever they've done. They stand out from the crowd.

[b]The Basil Awards is not made to start any flame wars or insults. It's entirely for fun and it shouldn't bother anyone. It is meant to bring the community together to enjoy and reflect upon whatever has happened in the past year. Please try your best told hold back any rude comments you want to type down because once this thread becomes a flame war of some sort, it will be closed and will not continue. I was very lucky to have the permission to make it this year due to problems last year and the attitudes of Basilers through out the year. I know I sound motherly when I say this, but behave yourselves, please ? Lol.[/b]

In order to keep clear of the flames and since certain categories were a bit cruel, I was instructed to remove some categories.
