What to cook without a stove?

I'm going away to a dorm room early fall that has a mini kitchen with a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, whatever else I'd like (no hotplates allowed) attached to my room but the only stove is shared between the hall and I don't want to use it all the time.

What's some decent meals I could make (or something I can cook on the stove and use for multiple meals, freeze, etc.)?

My advice is to bulk make meatloaf and then you can just eat that for like an entire week (just reheat it whenever you're hungry).

if you don't live out of state, get yo mommy to make you meals and when she or you visit, take them and re-heat them whenever u is hungry

but that's irrelevent since you has a meal plan

Look up an affordable "portable electromagnetic induction stove". Those are really cool, since it heats things using a magnetic field which allows you to cook using magnetic metal cookware such as cast iron of stainless steel pans. Also note that with an induction stove, you can't burn yourself since you aren't magnetic.

Thanks for the tips about a rice cooker. I've never owned one so maybe I'll give it a shot.

Rice cooker.

Throw in some rice. After it cooks a little bit, throw in some veggies and let them steam. When it's almost done, crack an egg on top. I like to put in a sweet potato to cook along with the rice. A rice cooker can do anything.
