Thoughts on sports fans?

Prologue: Well, my cousin were recently over at my house, and they are quite avid fans. I would by no means say they were crazy, but they screamed at every goal that was scored in the hockey game they were watching. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching certain sports from time to time, but I never get so worked up over a certain team or anything. This made me interested, so I googled crazy sports fans later that night and saw some pretty crazy things.

Part with actual questions: So this made me want to hear your opinions on sports fans and how far some go. Some people treat a team as if it is a god, and they treat the sport as if it is religion. So a few questions I wanted to ask would be: How far do you think sports fans should go? Do you think it is ok? Are you a sports fan? Have you ever seen any crazy sports fans situations in real life or the news? Please share your thoughts below.

I've never really been into sports but I can see the appeal.

I use to be a Raptors fan, and I usually watch the Leafs whenever they're in the playoffs but that's about it.

The only other thing I got behind was MMA but I've stopped caring.

I just hate all these basketball "obsessors", who know stats and all this junk, instead of getting off their behind to play the actual sport. -_-;

Never come to Oakland my friend.

OT: I am a die hard Warriors fan. I love everyone of them and am passionate for them because it provides entertainment. IMO you just have to be passionate to be emotional about it. I remember in little league when my team lost in the playoffs and I actually cried because I loved the game so much and it was saddening to not be able to play anymore. Its just something you have to be emotionally attached to. I was so happy when the Warriors won by a buzzer beater yesterday and was even more happy when I went to a Warriors game with a game winner in the final seconds. It honestly would be the best experience I have ever had in my life which I will never forget it EVER. With all this talk about racism and etc, just seeing 20,000 people not give a rats ass about race, money, looks and enjoying a BASKETBALL GAME is incredible. Everyone was up on their feet for the final shot and when the Warriors (the home team) hit the game winner, it wasn't about who you were only one thing matter that you were a warriors fan. Everyone was cheering, having fun and hugging the people next to them high fiving anything you can think of because they all enjoyed the game. From that moment I realized how much I love sports and warriors <3.

BTW this might be terribly formatted but w.e

My nana and mom like sports but I don't, so when they watch sports, I have to listen to their yelling. Thankfully, we're moving next week, and my computer will be in my room on the second floor, so I won't have to listen to them. Right now it's in the dining room on the only floor so it's very apparent. Even in my bedroom it's pretty loud, probably because its the room closest to the living room (we only have 1 floor and an attic).

I guess a better way to phrase the main question I wanted to bring up is what you think about how far sports fans should go. As I said in the thread, my cousins shouted, but by no means were they crazy. Like the video @metaghost4 posted, what are your thoughts on the sports fans that go absolutely crazy over their team, and do stuff like riot or injure others?

This is why I hate watching sports. It's like just blind patriotism.

Well sometimes sports can be a big part of a person's life. It's a way to make great friends sometimes.
I personally made a lot good friends from 5 years old from lil peewee days to now.

If you are passionate about a sports team, you are going to scream your lungs out when your team does well, especially if they win a championship. You're also gonna be vocal when your team makes a terrible play. That's just how it is lol, and it's the most fun thing ever, especially when you're with fellow sports loving friends.
